TGIF..........sent with hugs!
Made it to the end of the driveway today.
high five me, that's a Touchdown!
Trash in bin, mail in hand.......woozy, so I sat down here to catch my breath. I sure do enjoy the conversations we have..........it's SO GOOD to hear ya'lls thoughts.......!!!!
My legs were aching something fierce. Y?
Been stretching/flexing my muscles.......to keep from turning into petrified wood. Revved up the fibro - aching went from bad to worse. Never underestimate the power of a nice warm shower to defuse pain. It really helps me........I don't know if it is all about the water.......it could also be that the effort to take the shower, washing hair, etc. is also a great distraction.
I find that it's true that these bodies of ours need (a lot of) REST/need to MOVE. It's a balance beam situation......I'm a lousy gymnast, but I keep trying.........xoxoxo
I have some chicken defrosted. Yesterday I made some homemade salad dressing. Now to roast the chicken & make a nice fresh salad for dinner.
Not too hard, if I use my "encouraging thoughts". quietly chuckling. Ever hear a teacher tell a youngster to use their "indoor voice?" That's how it is with encouraging thoughts. I break it down......the steps/actual time it will take. How to keep it simple. I need fresh nutritious stuff, too much canned stuff and my tummy gets mad very quickly.
Hmm, garbanzo beans - that's a good source of something - protein maybe? Limit chopping by making celery/carrot sticks to eat on the side.....the radishes are already in strips, thank goodness. Romaine is easy to prep.......
I should have it all ready by 6 oclock......goody goody.
The only reason I keep trying new names out on Rio is cause Rio doesn't know his name. STILL...YET...sigh. Somebody told me that kitties are more responsive if their name ends in "IE?" I call Annie and she trots over every time. Sigh.......
I caught part of an old George Carlin special today.......he talked about "Vuja de." he said it's the complete opposite of "Deja vu."
this clip is only 26 seconds:

It applies to a lot of things in life......to me it seemed perfect to apply to anyone struggling with chronic illness. In time you become more familiar with it all, but even then it continues to surprise and send one into that sensation of "vuja de."
What do you do to keep your funny bones in shape? We need to laugh. Don't underestimate it's worth in your daily life. I'm going to go cook. I know making it down the driveway & back is not big in some circles, but in this small circle it is a job well done. Sometimes one small accomplishment leads to several more in a day............and that is some mighty sweet stuff.......gives me the feeling that life is richer for the trying.
I hope to get to catch up on your posts this week-end......that's one of my goals right now! I miss it......right now my brain can't take much in........hard to explain, but my sight is wonky, has been all week........they call them visual disturbances. I have to be patient when they come & I'm always glad when it goes. Still a space cadet........can't concentrate for long & find myself waking up again. I keep conking out........been here before. it will all work out. See how I'm encouraging myself???? LOL........but seriously, encourage yourself........turn the deadbolt - lock out negative stuff - be kind to yourself...........we all have a lot more power when we do that.........set the gauges/dials on boundaries - step away from overdoing it.......that ol push crash thing........and be nice to dear wonderful you..........xoxoxoxo

Search your dinner, chicken with a fresh salad and the dressing sounds Wonderful! I make this for myself a lot as well Chick Pea\'s /Garbanzo\'s are so good for you. Have you ever tried Hummus? its chick peas all ground up. I dip my celery sticks and cucumber chips in them.
George Carlin, what a gift he was with his wit and humor. Vuja De..LoL!!
Thanks for the clip and sharings your thoughts. Hugs and Greenies for the kitties from me and Annie. xo
I like how you celebrate your little victories~~like making it to the end of the driveway, getting your mail, making dinner,... Sometimes people kind of make light of those things, but I don\'t. I try to celebrate every little thing~~either because they are things I can still do, or because yesterday maybe I couldn\'t have done it. So I really appreciate that type of attitude. It is SO EASY when one is in our shoes to become super negative~~but I can\'t stand that. Sure, we all have our tough moments~~but it is so good to recoup from them and be positive again. If I didn\'t live that way, my depression would eat me alive. So, nice to see you celebrating all of life\'s victories~~both big and small. A win is a win, no matter how you look at it!!!
Hope you are enjoying yiur Sunday, and that this is the start of a good week for you! Love, peace and blessings!
YAYYYYYYYYY! You made to the end of the driveway! WOOT for small/huge tasks accomplished! Any day, any time we do something that boosts up our self confidence, even for an hour....it\'s ALL GOOD! I\'m happy fer ya!
The supper sounds good. Homemade salad dressing eh? YUM! (I must be hungry)!
I love George Carlin. I remember him from years back. Just looking at him brings a smile to my face. I have that same reaction when I look at Steve Martin. I just still see him on SNL as a \"wild and crazy guy\" and start smiling. And smiling is good, right? Yep. I agree. That funny bone needs to be tickled as often as we can do it.
IE....for the cat name, huh? Just thinking about that. Our last cat was MontY....so the sound is there. He always came when he was called. Then again, we now have Princess Willow, who runs the house, and she comes whether you call her or not. Little twit, queen!
Ok, I\'m going to take your advice and lock the deadbolt and keep out the negative stuff today. That means this comment ends now, before I start yappin about my freakin crash.
Sooo, I\'m done. Over and out. Have a great day, Sparrow!!! Enjoy that food when ya cook. You\'ve worked hard and deserve a nice hot yummy meal!!
