Terrified

I don't know if it's normal or no but I'm completely terrified of what my future holds considering my case. I've never been to court resulting in me and I want to go but my mom won't let me. I get to write a letter to my dad and I'm scared I will say the wrong things, my letter will be read out loud at court I just don't know what to do. I'm also scare because my dad's not going to jail for his actions. Why is it I'm the one who has to suffer an not my dad. It sad because he lives a better life than me right now all I want is to be happy again but I'm scared to be happy because I don't want it to come crashing down.

It is normal for PTSD, Ciar, but it is possible to heal. Sending healing hopes.

For what it's worth, my father did go to prison in two states, consecutive terms. The legal process only added new trauma to my list. If you do go to court, please have therapy support on line when you go. It is a brutal process. You will need the support.
