Temporary geographical treatments

We went to Boston for the the weekend and it was so good to just get away for an overnight.  Hoagie had been doing fine since his first chemo treatment and even fought us tooth and nail when we gave him his meds before we left.  We got back last night and he followed me all over the house before settling down.  I think he missed us.  I know I missed him! I wrote to his old owners to tell them about his diagnosis and one of them wrote back and shared a few goofy stories about him.  Apparently her children used to include him in all of their card games!  That might explain why, whenever there's an empty chair at the table, he hops up into it and just sits there looking at everyone.  He knows he's not supposed to be on the table but the chairs are ok.  So I think I'll have Dad and his girlfriend over for some card games and leave a chair for Hoagie.
