Tears are falling today

Hello SOTH - I woke up this morning with tears falling--sigh. One thought, one picture, one memory...I have to remind myself to BREATHE!  JUST BREATHE! I've always considered myself such a strong person and able to get through anything but as you all know, losing a child kicks your butt! (wish the kicking made it smaller) lol
So I've learned to let the tears fall and not to stuff them because after the tears stop, I somehow feel better for a bit.  I am learning to just sit, despite my plans, visit with a friend if I need to be around someone and accept their love and support. I am learning to reach out little by little on days I'm able to and receive others reaching out to me when I can't reach out.  I've said it before, I am forever changed and as my sisters of the heart continually remind me, baby steps....Thank you!
((hugs)) much love to you all today! Vicki

Your baby steps are huge!
It is hard to accept the fact that we are not as strong as we thought we were. But I have come to realize that it takes courage to seek help, to feel the pain, and to accept the love and support offered by others.
And crying is also part of the process. I too still cry - there are times when waves of pain, pressure builds up in me - crying relieves that pressure.
We are forever changed but we are together. Having FMO has kept me going.

Vicki, you are so right baby steps...We all have to accept the fact that this journey will kick our butt...Some days for no reason the dam breaks and the tears just flow and I, like you said, will feel better. I am not the same person as I was before we lost our Jeff. I know that now. We all are forever changed.
Peace and love,
Your friend,
Nell

We ARE strong! Never has so much strength been needed and proven as when a mother loses a child.

Vicki, you are going with the flow as it is so hard to swim upstream. You are learning and I think it is good to allow people to help you. This is a journey we did not choose but we must continue. Just keep on step to step.
Much love,

I\'ve woken many mornings with tears flowing. Normal and healthy, dear friend. Making it through every day is a huge test of strength, faith and character. You are doing it. You will do it. We all do it together. Much love, and hugs.

With time, you will learn just exactly how strong you really are! And it will be mighty. Step by step, even little ones. Yep, we will have set backs, but they will eventually be more like two steps ahead for each one backwards instead of the reverse.
Peace.

Tears are ok. Whenever and wherever ! Tears flow quite often and then you\'ll find yourself thinking I didn\'t cry today but one thing I have learned is that never say your sorry for crying. Just let them flow.

One of the moms here said that \"tears are liquid prayers.\" I have never forgotten that and have cried a river full. I don\'t apologize for them ever and actually welcome the release when they come.

This path is such a humbling one and that is what I feel as I read your journal. You are learning how to tap into what you need even if you are not sure of what it may be. Cocooning when you need to, reaching out when a heart with ears is what is calling you, all of it and such is this new life that we are each asked to be present to.

May today unfold just as it needs to and know that whatever you are feeling is what it needs to be for today. It will change and evolve as you do, but the one constant is the LOVE that is forever for your beloved child.

Loving care and heartfelt (((hugs)))

Sometimes, we just have to remind ourselves to breathe, because we can\'t even think straight, enough to do even that. Our worlds have been turned upside down and we are never the same. Thank God, for Daily Stregnth and FMO...It is my lifeline....

Tears are good -- tears mean feeling and love. I feel badly when I\'m in the numb times where my loss is surreal and I can\'t cry and that doesn\'t make sense. So, I envy you your tears because I think they are good and necessary.

I was told early in the grieving process tears wash the soul. Boy is that soul clean.....
In time less tears but it takes time. Each of us do things differently but the end result is we take a few small steps forward and some backwards.

Sending tight hugs your way
Penny
