talking myself down from the rafters...

I was sitting here in bed, with Blue on my lap.

The free time after a fatiguing, very busy, morning of errands and chores

had me starting to question my ability to chart my own life and to take

pride in it as well. Perhaps it was the tiredness...

I wrote a few emails to my Therapist and then I just started to talk myself

down and tell myself to recount what I have just done...to appreciate myself

(I heard my therapist say in my mind in so many words...)

I just came back

from a major trip - I did do it - and it's only been two days since I am back

and I am getting back to the routine here of managing my life. living alone and reconnecting to

the familiarity

with managing my basic emotions and feelings while alone after being with close company

for two weeks straight. It's important to find myself

here again in community where there is so much questioning and unsure footing in life and then

affirming. There's a heavy load in life at times. That happens to all of us with mental health

challenges or not. I'll get on with doing more chores.

I hope you guys are having a good day!

i'm currently trying to get three kids through soccer season and having entirely too many of those irrational moments. so much so that i've pulled out my old alanon classic and doing a H.A.L.T. when those irrational moments hit. i check to see if i am:

Hungry
Angry
Lonely or
Tired.

these days it's most often hungry or tired. i don't have much tired for getting pissed or lonesome. alone time is feeling downright heavenly. what's the politically correct way to ask a four year old to increase her social distance?
