Talking about your late-husband when you are dating.

I am seeking your advice about talking about your late husband when you are dating.  I was at a dinner party last evening as was starting to become aware of how much I talk about Smokey.  He was my life for ten years.  I think it is natural.  Should I not say anything about Smokey when I actually meet someone and start dating again?  I am not aware of any social rules regarding talking about your deceased husband when you are dating.  Alla knows Dave and was trying to bring us together.  Unfortunately, Dave did not attend her small dinner party.  I had a blast anyways and told her not to worry about it.  Alla was not happy with Dave that is for sure but she did give Dave my phone number.  She was supposed to give me Dave's phone number but I did not get it.  I am not worried.  I am old fashioned and would prefer the guy to call me.  Dave is a Taurus and I am a Capricorn.  It is a good match as my Smoke was a Taurus.  The only thing about Taurus and Capricorn people it takes them a very slow process before they get together.  I was reading up on it.  With Smokey and I it only took meeting twice before that was it for us.  I know it is not going to be that way in any new relationship I meet.  I am prepared for it.  I was just curious if anyone else went thru this, has knowledge about it or could pass on their own personal experience about the protocols about talking about your deceased partner with a date.  Thanks in advance for helping me from Diane
