taking care of my boy blue
I've had a good day so far. Got my car serviced early in the morning
and got back here at around 12pm. Went and got gas as well
and then started to relax in my room. I was feeling really
weak and in need of energy- and then found the gumption
to get up to do my work around here. Blue was crying a lot.
He anticipates his afternoon meal and tries to coherse me with
crying to have it earlier than the set time. I felt any parent's woes
at this point. A crying child who won't listen - and he's also beginning to get
agressive when I don't comply. It made me appreciate my mom so much
and all parents. So I know, no matter his emotional pleas and my emotional
fragility - I need to keep on keeping on with the caretaking of this little guy.
Now, 4 more minutes to meal time. Before writing this entry - I tried to play
with his cat whip toy - and that seemed to work. I'll go for it again until it's
time for him to eat his afternoon meal.

I watch My Cat From Hell sometimes and the man who 'runs' the show sometimes uses slow feeders for cats who are overweight or that struggle from being hungry.... It releases the food slow and takes longer for them to eat... They can't just wolf it down and I guess it helps them with hunger and satisfaction .... Big hug sweetie... xo
Thanks Jan, I’ll look into that!
I tried one of those feeders and my cat got so anxious she threw up after every meal. Didn't work too well for Jasmine. I do have her on a diet because she weighs 17 lbs! I gave everyone at home a lecture about not feeding her extra food and to cut back on her food.
Isn't it funny how they always know when it's time to eat?
they always know!! thanks Becky!!
