taking care

I need to straighten up my apartment this morning.

Just showered and shaved and was feeling exuberant from

writing a poem and just enjoying the spirit of the day - but

now I have to shift gears - get back to the measuring stick

that helps me see that I am taking care of my day and life

versus going with my spirit and becoming high flying

and not taking care of my responsibilities.

I am grateful for the work I have to do - covering both sides is

indeed a challenge. I have heard it called "adulting" in another 

context...but again I am really grateful that I see it - and now

onto doing it!
