taking a powder......

Hey,
Isn't taking a powder like taking a nosedive?  IF so, that's what I'm doing.  I'm about to hit the mat with a splat.
Those good days bring trade offs.  Started feeling the symptoms beeper going off more and more ..........so where are we now?  Well I was so cold my fingers and toes felt like ice......it's 79 outside........by way of comparison.
Got too cold & tired to type, so I made myself a small bowl of steaming hot grits.  They are quick grits so they only take five minutes, very creamy.........not a lot of taste if you're curious, just a southern comfort staple that I've learned to enjoy.  (they go well as a side dish.....with lots of meals) Started to thaw out after about ten bites and then my tummy seized up.  no.......................shoulda just had some hot water.  my tummy is all kinds of out of sorts - guess we'll be calling it a day.  going back to bed in about two shakes.
i had a couple of lovely days.........maybe i think - hope & pray......maybe if i mind and go to bed now i'll still be able to go to the store, get food tomorrow so I can cook on Sunday.  sure would like to have a homecooked meal right here.........Sam drives home from Charlotte tonight........and works a long day tomorrow, so I thought home cooking - shared help in the kitchen - we could pull it off.......hope to hear from Sara but nothing yet.  Sorry to sound so wistful, sure would like to see the kids and the girl's kid's hubby that day.  Lord, please hear my prayer.......and bless us all.  In your name, Amen, why is it soooooooooo cold?  i know it's me, but it doesn't feel that way.........ack.  feels like my heart and body are vibrating...........crashes are freaky ...... every time feels like the first time......ya never really get used to it. i can lean in to it, but it never feels like a natural state of being..........going to bed now, i think i feel a little bit of self pity up there in the clouds......gotta watch that stuff......no energy to waste on pity.  need every ounce to make it to the bedroom.

Sad to hear you are nosediving with symptoms. : ( I hope it is gone by the time you read this though. I love grits. esp red eye grits, I think they call them. taste best down south for sure. I hope your day with family turns out better than you expected even. Maybe it will be full of wonderful surprises. Hey, I hope that for both of us. thinking of you and saying a prayer. God Bless Ruthie!

God bless you Ruthie. Rest up & I will pray you will feel better tomorrow. So you can go to the grocery store. I know how much you want to cook a home made dinner for the kids. Just remember it\'s your day. Let the kids do for you. You\'re a good mamma. Lots of love surrounding you.

I\'m in a crash myself, Ruthie! You are right, we have to rest and lean into it.....we waste precious spoons pondering and worrying.

I\'ve often thought that on days like \"Mother\'s Day\", all illneses should just take a hike and give us a breather! Sound good? I also wonder why I have to cook on Mother\'s Day! Well, I do know why! I can\'t go out.....it\'s horribly crowded in restaurants on that particlular day, and that would just overstimute me and make me sicker.

Nope, I\'ll stay right here and hope for a drive by from my daughter. Hope you do get so see Sam, get some shoppping done and warm up those toes of yours!

Crashes, we never do get to feeling like they\'re \"normal\". They\'re not. Not normal for us busy peoples who once were out hoopin and hollerin on the weekends. But I guess it\'s part of acceptance, right? T\'his is the \"new\" normal....discomfort, anxiety, sadness, lonliness. Sure don\'t sound like something very \"Mother\'s Dayish\" do it?

We\'ll get by! You have the best day you possibly can, eat what goes down easy, and hopefully you\'ll hear from both your children!!!
