Tact or lack of...

Is it me or do people who have never lost a child lack tact! I came into work today ready for anything and the first thing my pregnant boss (who is showing) comes walking over to complain about her swollen feet, aching back and that she is having a baby boy. I mean do you really tell this to someone who has had two miscarriages that you know of? Not to mention that I am now 20 days from my due date? Each day that it comes closer is another reminder of how i should be expecting a little one any day now. Instead i hear from the doctor that it looks like i have PCOS however only a "mild" version of it since I have a mentral cycle so there is nothing else that jumps out as to why I have lost 2 pregnancies. So now I have to go on fertility shots so that I can hold my baby in my arms rather than mourning then. I would do anything to trade to have the back pain, the swelling feet, teh sleepless nights because my stomach is so big. I would do anything...
Instead I am going to have to get injections and then once my body is ready we are going with invitro to make sure the egg and sperm are perfect. It is so hard to except things sometimes when women can get pregnant "normally" and there are people out there who have to go through so much. Just doesn't seem fair somedays.

I\'m sorry. People just don\'t think about how we may feel. My cousin\'s baby boy was born yesterday. I got a picture text last night just his picture and his stats. I wish she would say something, anything to show that she understands how hard this is but I\'ll be really surprised if she ever does. Colton\'s due date is in less than 6 weeks. On the other hand my best friend is due in 3 weeks and she is great. She has told me that she understands that its going to be really hard when her baby arrives. Some people get it and others just don\'t

My due date is in less than a week and I just ran into the training manager who\'s got a basketball belly right now. All she did was complain about how uncomfortable she is right now and I said to her \"I\'d give anything to be uncomfortable right now\". She knows about the mc and she just gave me a look like \"OMG I forgot, I\'m sorry\". I don\'t hold back anymore. There\'s no point holding back because I\'m just making myself miserable by holding it in. I FILTER it, so I don\'t come off as a bitchy wench, but I still say something. People forget what is not going on in their own lives.

Lots of hugs. What gets me is how some people, even if they have experienced it themselves or through family, just try to blow it off as if we are over-reacting to having an acne breakout. Something about having the \'successful\' version permits them to be insensitive because they win, you lost, ha ha.

This is what drives me nuts about the view point of how pregnancies are used as a measure of a woman\'s worth. It is b.s. Short and simple. My worth, any woman\'s worth, has nothing to do with getting pregnant and successfully delivering. Anyone trying to use it as a competition pretty much gets a cold shoulder from me.

Again, lots of hugs. I am keeping my fingers crossed for your hard work and sacrifice to do your best to have a baby. Just do your best to ignore such people, even if it is your boss.
