TGIF

Big, healthy sigh of relief! Last journal, I had taken two types of  cardiac stress tests, a scan, and was told there was heart failure. I was going to have a cath and maybe stent / etc..  A cardiac cath revealed an enlarged left ventricle but no blockage. That was a relief. Why? False positive breast shaddows.    So, after more probing and tests there is a reason for such high BP and a BNP. There is a narrowing in an artery near a kidney. Not blocked. So, new meds and watching the enlargement at the heart. It is not cardio myopathy yet. Perhaps it never will be though Mom and nephew have it( they are thin and I am heavy...go figure??).    I am such a fortunate person to come out with good news after such a scare. My leg is killing me where the cath was. I can only imagine what people go through with the stents, bi-pass. I am just able to sit for a period of time. I walk ok so have gotten a little better at strolling a few times a day. It will help me get into the real walking that needs to happen. New meds make me feel like I am filled with cement. It is better than the headache I had for a month (high BP).   As for my partner. Nothing great to report. The mass seems to be an AVM. We need an MRI-F and the insurance denied it. So, trying to find a way around this. The CT scan shows same. That is good. Not growing or full of something leaking. The needle biopsy was not successful as they believe the fluid in the mass is too thick. Also, it is located in such a way that open heart surgery is the only way to access it other than with the needle. That is too extreme since there may be a way to glue it closed in a new procedure. Not clear on this part. She is a nurse and I will get more details from her when my head is clearer. Thank you all for notes, hugs, thinking about me/ us. What a nice place to share life. I am fortunate to have found DS and all of you. Cheers~
