Switching to Latuda

I was afraid this would happen.  Switching meds. would be a huge pain in the butt.  I suspected I was becoming immune to Venalfaxine but too afraid to switch.  I was afraid the new med. would make me feel worse or I wouldn't be able to afford it.  The latter happened.  I'm now trying to get through the huge obstacle coarse to get coverage so I can afford my new med.  It's a sad commentary on our society when greedy pharmacuticle companies jack up the prices on meds. so can't possibly afford them out of pocket.  My current med. is over $1400 out of pocket.  Outrageous!  Do they think everyone are billionares?  No, and far from it.

It takes a lot of searching and phones calls to finally afford your med.  I just bought some supplimental insurance.  I don't know if it will.  I will have to call them tomorrow(Monday) to see if I need a pre authorization or what to do next.  A that's another thing.  All facets of healthcare is so expensive that you need more than one insurance policy to afford care in many cases.  There's something wrong with that.
