Susan L. Fuller

I recently read a book "How to Survive Your Grief When Someone You Love Has Died" by Susan L. Fuller. I found the book very helpful, it's very specific with everything you can expect to feel. I went to her website and saw that she offered a free 30 minute phone consultation. I requested one and just got off the phone with her! Just wanted to let my SOTHs know of a resource available.

Yes, she does offer counseling...and she is compassionate yet no-nonsense, breaks down complicated emotions into the individual components to make them easier to understand and process.

A valuable tool and grateful for your sharing. Is there one thing specifically you can share that you found helpful or if that is too much to ask no worries. Sometimes it\'s just a feeling too and those are not always easy to express in words.

Healing (((hugs))) and love,

Joanie, one think I can point to specifically is Dr. Elisabeth Kubler Ross\'s book,\" On Life After Death\". At a time when I was terrified about where my daughter might be, I was led to read the little book and my spirit soared. I went from terrified to overjoyed. I do a lot of things. I can\'t concentrate on television very much. I paint, I write, a lot!!! I write my journal on here, I write my blog, my own personal journal, a beautiful journal specific for Letters to my baby. I am also taking an on-line writing class...Writing Your Grief. I devour self-help books and troll YouTube for videos, interviews, about NDE\'s.

Wow, I am happy that you found a comfort there. Just to let you know, it seems to me perfectly normal to not be able to concentrate on things like a tv show. I remember watching a movie and having no recollection of how it ended the next morning! I, also, read everything I could get my hands on to read...had a waiting list at the library! This is going to get gentler for you, I promise, but it will take a while... well, maybe a couple of years, but it will get so much not better but acceptable. Grief changes it\'s forms over and over. Once you get past one thing, another one slams you. I am glad that you are here with us and we are here for you, dear SOTH.
