Surprise, but not so pleasant...

Today the "friend" I wrote about who canceled bringing her shredding over, and pulled some other stunts, I haven't called her, but today she left me a message on my answering machine at home, asking what I was doing this weekend.

I am going to call her back, exactly when I FEEL like it.  I'm not rushing to call her back.  She's not important to me anymore.  Actually I DON'T feel like calling her back.

I will talk to her eventually; but on MY terms.  Let her sweat it out a bit.  When I do call her, I am going to keep the conversation very superficial.

It's just not the same anymore.  She's hurt me several times.  I am not going to let her hurt me again.

Good deal. I have a friend like that. We used to be close but she hurt me too many times. I only see her once a year at a party her sis throws. Best to keep those users away. They are flakes.

So how did that go, did anyone else had shredding after she bailed?

Well well, so she made contact. Any apology coming your way? Or has she already forgotten the awkward position she put you in. Yes, be cautious with this one. Wouldn't want you to get hurt again. It will be interesting to see what she has to say though - only when YOURE ready to talk to her.

Based on reading your previous journal and this one, she sounds very self-absorbed and inconsiderate. I think it's wise to keep her at arm's length and don't place much weight on anything she says. You deserve better than how she has treated you. Hugs.

Good for you! People who think that "the world revolves around them" aren't worth developing a relationship with. Sounds like she's a good person to drop and forget about.
