Surgery day
Going under in another 3 hours. Have done my part ensuring kid, home etc will be ok. Have discussed my situation with docs, anesthesiologist is a lovely woman. She listened, she researched cfs, she came up with a plan. Feel like am in good hands.
just got mad at the hospital, they want to move me from surgical to maternity and reassign my bed. That just stressed me out, the last thing I want to deal with right now is uncertainty of any kind. I'm settled in, my sister and son know where i am..moving on. Hope they dont move me post-op..then i'd really be livid.
woke up at 2am, pressed call button .. Nothing..again and again. Finally walked down to the nurses station o find 2 fast asleep and 1 nodding. Call button still doesnt work.
then i had to ask for the enema the doctor ordered and they forgot to administer. Oh boy!
you know what, i'm in a private hospital, the staff is very courteous, ward is comfortable and the food is good. i cannot worry about everything that can possibly go wrong.
i rest in arms far more capable than my own...

Things always seem to get a little hairy when you\'re the one in a hospital. Don\'t worry, Max. I have a feeling everything will be just fine! The best thing you can do is to do the best you can to just relax.
You\'re right; you do rest in arms far more capable than your own. You even rest in arms far more capable than the hospital staff!
Post us on how you are doing as soon as you can!
That would be right. When you\'re asleep they usually wake you up in hospitals. Now you tell me that while you\'re awake and need help they\'re asleep. You should have woken those naughty nurses up. I\'m wondering if they ended up moving you or not.I went into hospital several yrs ago, for surgery.Long story but they cancelled my surgery and I woke up in a different hospital, as the original hospital was unable to monitor me.I was so shocked when I woke up in a totally different hospital. They had knocked me out before being transported. I had developed severe pancreatitus and they couldn\'t get the pain under control. Hugs max xo
Oh dear! Scary innit? We basically have to remain conscious in the hospital....at all times. Since maybe no one else is! It\'s a shame, but hospitals are understaffed and these people are overworked, and our government has closed down so many facilities already that smaller, less equipped places are opening up everywhere and care just plain stinks.
Let God handle it. Sleep with one eye open and ask Him to please keep an eye on you when HAVE to rest!! He will. I\'ll ask Him myself.
Don\'t worry. You\'ll be ok.
Will wait for update. You\'ll be ok! oxo
