Sunday morning can not go to church
Well going to church is not an option for me today. If I could only get off the oxygen and walk I would be happy. I went to my sons house yesterday and that was very nice. He bbq'ed and the food was good. I had to leave when my tank was running out of o2. I know they tell me everyone is different, I am tired of hearing that. I just wish I could know when I will start feeling better. If I only did not have that surgery I would not be In this mess. Please dear Lord, make me better.......................

Dear Sweet Linda,
I know it can take sooo long to recover and things are hard right now.
Sending some blessing and prayers for you today that you feel better
soon.
Love,
Leenie
He will.....just give him time. Remember with learning patientce comes tribulation, I cant remember in the word where it talks about that but unfortunatley how soon you get better, depends on both your physical and your mental well being. I didnt go to church today, its just too cold outside here, 18 degrees, but I watch Joel Osteen, and every morning early during the week @ 7am here on eastern time, you can catch Joyce Meyer if you have cable....this is not as good as going in person, but at least you are being fed spiritually. It really does just depend on how your body reacts to these meds and how quickly. The surgery probably didnt cause the COPD, it was there before probably and it wasnt till then someone caught it because of the severity of the disease youre in. Dont take this as a death sentence, but a life sentence? What I mean is this, youve survived many things during your life Im sure and maybe this is a blessing is disguise that the disease was discovered now, so you can get treatment, whereas before, like me, you didnt know you had the disease. Who knows how much longer we would have lived without the meds we need to breathe?
The albuterol, advair, spiriva, or what ever inhalation meds youre taking, or anxiety meds, pain meds, will help, it just takes time. Im glad you got out of the house, i always feel better after being out and getting some fresh air and seeing other humans....I also have had to cut trips or visiting short because of my 02 running low....I take an extra tank in my purse sometimes [big purse], no bodys gonna live thru mugging me , lol, lol.....Your body is not only recovering from surgery, but also the trauma of severe COPD as well.....this isnt a death sentence but a second chance at living, yes, its living a little slower, and abit differently, but we are still alive and breathing. I do pray you get to feeling better soon....You will have good days where you feel like you and then days youre just tired, its part of our disease. I hated always wanting to sleep when the kids were home, so i tried adjusting my schedule to where on the tired days i sleep while theyre at school, then i get up when they come home..they go to bed at 9pm-11pm, and i often fall asleep on the couch. I dont know how long it will take for you, one day youll get up and think to yourself, gee, ive had more energy latley, or havent been as tired latley....the thing to remember is this....when you do have a good day, try not todo everything in the world you havent been able to do, or yull exhaust yourself, and itll take lke a couple days to recooperate. When our babies were born first they had to walk before they could run....now, ist kinda like that for us now...we have to walk before we can run too.....hang in there sweetheart, ok.
Diane
