Summer Cottage tme

The past few weeks have mostly been spent at the cottage. We are in the midst of renovating and painting and generally making it our own. Between work periods we are also making time to swim and sail or kayak and so our days are full and pleasant.
Each evening I offer C a cocktail before dinner, and he usually has a beer. We often have company and there is plenty of wine and beer flowing. but never once has C overindulged.
I know AA says an alcoholic has to completely stop drinking, but he is doing fine. I have complemented him on it, and he says that actually refraining from smoking was much more of a challenge when he quit (fairly recently
I am proud of him and very content.
