Such a Nice Night!

It is not always easy to be on the poor end of the scale, but we had a really nice night.
We have no TV stations, can't even afford to rent a movie, let along get out of the house to do much.
However, the time we spent this weekend is priceless.  We did some house cleaning on Saturday, made homemade soup and got a good night's sleep.  Today, we went to a Christmas program at church (thanks to friends and family enabling me to have a little gas in the car) and had lunch next door at my parents house.
This evening, we snacked on leftovers and played all sorts of games together.  We sang, the kids played guitar, and there was so much laughter.
I am not sure I would trade us all pulling together to bring happiness into our home for anthing.
Tonight, I can only be thankful.

I got the following on the web------

The moon belongs to everyone
The best things in life they\'re free
Stars belong to everyone
They cling there for you and for me

Flowers in spring
The robins that sings
The sunbeams that shine
They\'re yours and they\'re mine
Love can come to everyone
Best things in life
They\'re free

Moon belongs to everyone
The best things in life
They\'re free
Stars belong to everyone
They glitter there for you and for me
They are yours and mine

Flowers in spring
The robins that sing
Sunbeams that shine
They\'re yours and they\'re mine
Love can come to everyone
Best things in life
They\'re free
All of the good things
Every one of the better things

The best
Best things in life
They\'re free

Good for you honey, being skint is crap and can cause a huge amount of worry, but laughter and music and fun times are what you and your kids will remember.

So glad you had a good weekend. And homemade soup sounds awesome! xx
