Stupid things people say
The other day I got a pedicure. The pedicurist and I struck up a conversation and I mentioned my husband passed just three months ago. She said, I'm so sorry then asked when I planned to remarry.
And I thought, how lucky I am. She's got to live with that brain everyday, whereas I will never see her again.

People who have never been lucky enough to have found their soul mate just don\'t understand. There are things in this life that just cannot be replaced. I went to supper with a dear friend of my wife\'s. Someone saw us and I soon heard the rumor I was dating again. Idiots.
Sometimes people just don\'t get it. There is no quick replacement for what we\'ve lost. Some of us may be luck enough to find someone years down the road, but come on three months. What kind of an air head is she. To much, just to much.
Perhaps the pedicurist has been sniffing too much polish remover!!!!! I am sorry she said such a stupid thing to you. Idiots.......this world seems to be overrun with them!!!!!!
I\'d have said \" I have no idea.... No one has asked me yet so I guess they are allowing time for me to mourn my Husband\'s death first before pressuring me to get remarried.... isn\'t that nice of them? :O) \"
I like Karen\'s response, or something like when I die I am really hoping to be able to remarry my only true love.
I know I didn\'t plan on meeting and falling in love with my dear Paul only seven months after I lost my first husband Joe. But it was love at first sight.
I understand what you are saying though. I have people say \" your still young, you will find someone else\", I don\'t see myself doing it again.
It must be the nail polish fumes. It has to be. The poor dear thing.
Some people must be simply stupid. We should ask them to point to the nearest \"husband supermarket\". Perhaps that way they\'ll realise they\'ve just said something totally ridiculous.
Hi,

People assume too much when talking to someone that had a spouse pass away. Three months and you just at the beginning of the grieving process. Take it one day at a time. It was your husband. How callous the pedicurist was to you. How did you feel about the whole ordeal? From Diane
Sometimes people\'s brains have a loose connection -- evidently hers does.
