Stumbled Onto Another Rough One
The days were going ok. I take a breath and deal with all the wrinkles that seem to come my way. But for some reason today I started out good , but am getting bogged down. I realize I probably shouldn't even bother to type this, but just feeling a bit low and needed to get it out.
I did finally speak to the financial planner and was reminded of my own mortality. When asked about beneficiaries... and then an executor, I had to stop and think. I got it all squared away, but realize I want to take care of my own service and not leave that for another to deal with. Then it kind of snowballed on me. Got to thinking --- I have been having an issue or two (health wise) creeping up on me. Plus I have been lax on the exercise so the aches do come up more often.
I am currently a bit afraid because right this minute, I am feeling like giving up. I feel like I am sabotaging myself and my health. Turned inward and turning to ice cream instead of my bike and reaching out to a friend. And now beating myself up because I screwed up and each time I do, I rob myself of a chance at some of the things I did want, but am keeping at arms distance. Maybe this is just another temporary setback. I will bounce back. Always do. Have to.

You are going to be fine...or else! Seriously, one day at a time.
Hugs my friend. You are being so hard on yourself. I know how you feel. I was there too. One day at a time, Sometimes even an hour at a time. That emotional rollercoaster is horrible. But it will come to a stop. You have come so far. You need to step back to see how far you have come. Be gentle with yourself. Cry all you want. You will be fine and post here. We are here for you.
Hugs Kim.
Aw don’t beat yourself up. Nothing positive happens from doing that. Tomorrow is a new day, a chance to reset.
Kim you have been so strong with all you’ve had to deal with, give yourself some credit for all that you’ve accomplished. As for the self sabotage, many of us do that. There is always time to try again. It doesn’t matter how many times you try as long as you don’t give up.
I’m always here for you. Hang in there!
Big hugs, Kim
love ya and wanna see you sometime....so keep on the green side of the grass...
Buddhists meditate on the five remembrances and our bodies death is one. Not to worry about it but to be aware of this precious moment. To be thankful for every breath. Thankful for the gift. Keep it simple. Instead of ice cream, next time try blending an apple, banana, frozen blueberries and any other fruit. Cold smoothies got me off the sugar cravings. And drink it riding the bike:)
Try to focus on the present. That's the only time we have and the only time we have the power to change.
The past is gone forever and the future hasn't got here yet.

Hugs Kim..you can do it. Prioritize and follow your plan...Don't deviate.
What a difference a day makes. Today I did start over and do as I planned. Stuck to my menu plan (no junk ) Got moving (not to the extent I want to, but did get started again) and took those steps forward again. Not going to dwell on the back slide. Instead I will be glad for the opportunity of a new day.
That’s awesome Kim, good for you!!
yeay......
