stuff.......

the doc's appt came and went.  i felt extra lousy & had to wait a long time to see the doc.  sitting on an uncomfortable chair with fibromyalgia is like being poked and prodded with bruising sticks over and over and over and over......and over.  it doesn't get better until you get off the uncomfortable surface.  so i was settled into a pain filled grump.....but i tried to be a nice patient.  sort of.  i made a remark which fell like a lead balloon, then he made a comment which hit me like a ton of bricks.  we were both off our game.....so i said let's start over, but somehow the dye was cast......in the end we agreed that we were both grumpy frustrated beings and gave up.

i had a list with me, it said, chronic sinus problems, excessive mucous for three months, pain without good relief, wish i could try something different for pain, worried about the weight i gained from the prednisone, i lost 12 pounds then as soon as i went to three meals a day gained back the 12 pounds.  there was something else on the list but i forget.

he says that there is so much mold and weirdness in the air that it's no wonder that i have excessive mucous.  i said could it be from the reflux?  he said this is a long term debate from either side of the issue......but at no time did he suggest anything to fix this.  well, he did send me off with a script for an antibiotic but did i need one?  probably not......i'm taking it anyway.  at this point i think i would sit under a pyramid and hold crystals if it would give me relief.......so sick of stuff that makes me feel crummy.

oh yeah, the other thing was the adult acne.  he said it's rosascea......this confuses me need to look it up.  i thought rosacea was a reddish rash across the cheeks of a person, not pimples on the cheek, chin, nose area......with a fresh pimple every other day.  he offered nothing by way of treatment.

is this normal of an m.d. these days?  they talk to you like some random person on a park bench but dispense very little medical help to take back home?  do i expect too much? does he do too little?

when he came in he asked me how i was.......i looked away and said sitting in their waiting chairs was very hard/very painful.....wish that someone on staff would tell me that the wait would be so long.......i could have stretched my legs, come in an hour later, something......but i only said the chair was painful.  the nurse popped the door open and handed the doc a bag with 14 xarelto tabs and i expressed dismay.  if the paperwork doesn't go through or if there is any delay i will run out of samples before help arrives, this worries me, this is a fear i have.......

my expression of dismay let the doc to say, "well, just give them back then."  i gathered my wits and said, "i really do appreciate the samples, i'm just worried that it won't cover the bases time wise. to which he said, "i was just joking with you."  i said, "oh, i see." but i didn't see at all, that didn't seem like a joke that included me at all, but rather a joke at my expense.  but since i'm alone alot i'm not sure how my people reader is, so i let it go.  hoped i was wrong.......

it was an odd appointment, i arrived at 1:45 for a 2 pm appt and wasn't leaving until almost 4:30.  that doesn't seem right at all, at this point traffic is super backed up and took forever to get home.  it was one of those bumper to bumper situations that is so unpleasant.  i stopped to get my meds at walgreens and they said i had to come back in 15 minutes, so lucky me i got to wait in the drive through line twice for a long time.  complainy little me.........whine, whine, whine. wah wah wah.  let it go lady.  ok, fine, will do!

at the end of this i decided to treat myself to some KFC.......got home and the order was goofed.  let's just say it was not the best day to go out.......more letting go.

i found some pretty pots to replace the broken ones, mia is trying to be a sweetie, we've been playing with the light up mouse, it's a little plastic pink mouse, you press the mouse's button and it shoots out a red light.......mia does figure 8's and gets really good exercise chasing the light beam!  hope to play in the dirt one day soon, i put the new pots on the kitchen table and the bucket of potting soil close to the garage door for whenever i feel i have enough gumption to get busy.  it will take a good hour or longer to move plants around.  i plan to play music while i work, but not today.

i have enough material to cover one more microbead pillow......i've made three pillowcovers so far, they look pretty cute considering that they are all hand sewn.  i have to wait 3 days or longer after doing each one cause the pain settles into my neck/shoulders and upper arms.

everything is a trade off.  still no new neighbors in the rental house next door.  they put a big sign in the yard, the same bigness as if the house was for sale.....please let the new people be kind and nice.  please with extra kind and nice sauce on top.........

sorry for being such a bore, i'm watching a lot of indie movies in a row and this is a nice break.  thinking good thoughts of you, praying in care of your health and well being.......hugs, ruthie
