Stressful 2 weeks

This has been a very stressful 2 weeks.  It first started with a thunderstorm that had no less than 4 tornado watches in a six hour period.  Power was out for hours for three days in a row.   The winds came through here at 82 mph (according to the paper) and took out the tree in my front yard (missed the house by less than 2 feet!) and fried my computer monitor.  It didn't touch my cpu, fortunately.  Anyways, getting a new monitor was difficult.  Tried about three.  One was a CRT which left no room for the keyboard on the desk as it was so large.  Another had no power cord and the third one went spastic anytime you turned it on.  You couldn't read the screen for a good 10 minutes.  And keeping the computer on solid time isn't good for the computer.  I finally found one that works.
I've been very angry with myself.  On Monday night, word came that Osama bin Ladin was dead.  I cheered at the news and ever since then, I've been disgusted with myself for cheering that another human being was dead.  What kind of a person am I that I would cheer for someone being killed.
Then last night, my car caught on the rope to my garage door and I couldn't get it to work.  I called my parents and waited for my dad to come and fix it.   They waited for 2 hours before coming over.  I sat in the garage crying the entire time as I knew the neighbors were looking into the garage.  I couldn't turn on the alarm system and felt very unsafe.  I was so terrified that the rest of the night, I was in constant panic until I took an over the counter sleep aid.  It knocked me out fortunately.  I know, it's not a good idea to mix prescription meds with OTCs.  Today I went to the grocery store and on the way there, I had a VERY severe panic attack.  I had to pull over until I could breath again.  I'm still all panicky.  Trying to calm but nothing seems to be working.  May have to go back to the OTC stuff to sleep.

That really sounds like a stressful two weeks!!! I\'m glad you\'ve made it through as well as you have.
My anxiety is sky high, right now!!!! I haven\'t suffered a bad panic attack yet, but I\'m all racing heart and shallow breathing all the time and I so wish it would go away!!!
I hope your panic does too, although I can see where you\'ve had plenty of stressers to bring it on!!!!
Best of luck!!! I hope you feel better soon!!!! (((((Hugs)))))
