Strange days are upon me....
Okay, I've had stress episodes before, but last night took the cake. It was so bad, it basically overcame my seroquel med and I woke up twice during the night.
So this morning, I was horribly fuzzy. Couldn't think straight, major trouble staying awake. I gamely tried to complete an assignment for a class earlier today with encouragement from one of my friends here (why I decided to log on is a blur, but she was around).
It didn't take long before I fell asleep in front of my lappy...several times. Never was able to finish the assignment (I can turn it in on Tuesday for half its point value, so that's not a total loss). In fact, staying awake for longer than half an hour at a time was a struggle today, so when I tried to gamely show up for classes anyway, I proceeded to fall asleep on the subway and only really come to just before 5pm, a 3 1/2 hour span.
So technically today was a total loss, the second in a week. But the story doesn't quite end there.
I chatted a little with this friend (who now has a hug waiting for her) and it came out that I already essentially felt beaten because I'm off to such a bad start. She had to have been thinking of me, because after I crashed out she went searching on the boards and sent me a quick hug with a thread she wanted me to look at (is that the support equivalent of a sniper mission? Just curious...).
I just read it, and there's actually a couple of hints from others there that look like they could be of helpful use. And I noticed a question on self-esteem that has me wanting to start a thread now on what people do to improve theirs (mine isn't great).
So yes, today was a terrible day; very little got done. But it could very soon be rally time.
