Strange coincidences

It was Matt's birthday on Friday and I found it such a hard weekend. I really did struggle and felt about the lowest I have done the whole time. On Sunday I was having a look on my Instagram feed. 'Scousebird Problems' who is quite well known as a parody account round Merseyside where I live had put up a picture of some gorgeous necklaces and it was a competition, if you liked and followed the page then you won a pendant of your choice. I clicked on the link to the page and was looking and seen a lovely heart pendant I wanted to get to wear for Matt so I liked it and thought nothing of it. Later that night my phone buzzed and it was 'Scousebird' announcing the winner of the competition...it was only Me!! I never win anything! I emailed the lady who was the owner of the page and she told me to call her the next day to sort out what I wanted. In the meantime, I'd tweeted Scousebird a few weeks back about the fundraising I'm doing in memory of Matt and asked her to Retweet the link to my Just Giving page to her followers, she did it for on on Sunday night. I looked on my Just Giving Page a bit later and a total stranger donated a huge sum of £250 to my page and just said how he did not know me or Matt but was really touched after seeing the link on Twitter and what a great man Matt must have been. I was totally overwhelmed by it.  I rang the lady about the pendant on Monday and she said she was so happy I'd won it, she said how much it 'freaked her out but in a good way' that it was me she randomly selected as when she chose me as the winner she looked on my page and seen the pictures of Matt and I and realised what had happened. She said she was crying her eyes out when she realised and when she told her husband he said well it must just be fate. I've chosen a necklace which is two hearts, one inside the other and its going to be engraved with my name on the outer heart and Matts on the inner one to symbolise how he will always be in my heart. I'm absolutely convinced Matt had something to do with this, if I hadn't seen the necklace and thought about getting it for him then I never would have entered the competition and won it (I've never won a thing in my life), the link for my Just Giving Page would never have been retweeted so that lovely stranger would never have seen the link to make such a generous donation. I was so down in the dumps on Sunday and it gave me such a boost and really showed me how lovely people can be. I may sound mad but I am sure its him pulling some strings up there.
