Stomach update
yesterday i called my gynae ..again.. Trying to get results of pap done in Jan. They insist i come in to get results, i dont see why they cant fax or email. Did not like the doc, dont want to see him again.
for the first time (6calls over 3months) the nurse mentions the pap came back abnormal. Pardon my french but WTF!?! You wait 3mths to tell me this?
doc calls me back to say I will need surgery to remove the potentially pre-cancerous cells and cannot delay. Again ...WTF!?!
I have had it with that team. They are rude, unprofessional and negligent. what i really wanted to do is get results and take all to my gp so he can take a holistic look at what is happening. However, i have to do the followup, going in tomorrow,
interstingly doc says the stomach pain is unrelated so we have to deal with that as well. That has really escalated, my entire left side is swolLen. My teeth hurt, my neck, left breast is swollen and tender, left side of stomach hot and constant pain in left leg from groin to ankle. I recognize that i cant put this off any more, this has to be dealt with. From my research, if this is a stubborn infection which does not respond to anti-biotics then next step is surgery
Can my body handle dealing with both things? Can my body handle surgery? Two surgeries?

So sorry to hear about your troubles. Hope you sail through the surgery. Not to be selfish about it, but I and everyone else will miss your presence on here. Get well quickly.

Well, pardon me for saying so, but, WHAT? How could they possibly not call you if a test result showed an abnormality that required a procedure? That\'s unheard of!! I know this is going to be difficult, but since you are going in there today, is it possible to question the doctor about his communication procedures? My goodness.
Ok, just have to say this. I\'ve had more than one pap smear that came back questionable. Scary isn\'t it? But I had an immediate laser procedure! This is the 21st century and they don\'t do as much surgery where cutting is required. Laser is simple. I was out of there is 20 minutes and the questionable cells never returned after the laser procedure. You said \"potentially pre-cancerous, so they\'re not saying that these cells ARE pre-cancerous. Maybe that\'s the reason for the lack of concern on their part. At any rate, it\'s no excuse for not being up front and active about reaching the patient and getting the situation resolved!! I\'m so sorry they played this head game with you, Max.
Did you already have a trial of antbiotics for your left side trouble?? Just curious to see if you responded to that.
