Stomach Issues

I have been having a lot of stomach problems lately. I had to go to the Urgent Care twice in the past week for pain and bleeding. I've been poked and prodded and it hurt. The Urgent Care doctor told me I have to find a gastroenterologist and get screened for Colitis. I have a family history of it, so she says it's good to go get it checked out. Also, I need to get x-rays done to make sure there is no blockage since my entire intestines hurt.
I've been eating nothing but junk and I'm at 219.4 pounds. Last year at this time I was about the same weight. It's kinda depressing. At least I didn't gain. I just crave fried and sweet things. I need to stop it. I want as a New Year's resolution to have at least one vegetable with dinner. Right now we don't eat any veggies except for in the crock pot. So I want us to both get more nutrition. I don't know yet when his surgery is going to be, but we are looking at mid-January.

Sorry to hear what you are going thru. The positive news is that you have not gained weight in the last year, so that is still something good to think about.
One way to sneak in veggies in a very easy way is getting something like the nutribullet and make some smoothies with veggies and fruits in it. Even any blender will do, just making the right combinations will be like a \"fast meal\" for breakfast or a snack and you get your nutrition in. :)

So sorry that you are feeling poorly. I have UC (colitis) and have found eating gluten free has helped me immensely. Also the nightshade veggies and sweets upset the tummy. I have tons of info on eating GFree if you are interested.

I am so sorry that you are in so much pain and all that you are going through. I know you are upset about your weight however you haven\'t been feeling good and sometimes we fall back into old eating habits. you will get back on ntrack when you are better I know you will, you always have. you didn\'t not gain any weight over the year and give yourself a pat on the back for that! I also have trouble eating vegetables I will support you and encourage you with your resolution, maybe I will even eat some vegatables too. I hope the tests will find out exactly what is wrong, soon, so that you can start getting better. hugssss

i wish you lived nearby, i would diet with you. i\'m way up too. UNREAL. my christmas gift to me is to lose 65 pounds and be almost me again. no idea how i plan to do this. i may get a metal detector and start scanning the beach. wish our pool was normal, its so cold here and there is no INDOOR POOL that is 84 degrees or higher to swim in so can\'t use swimming as a sport. it sucks.

hope you feel better!
