Still trying...

Still trying to lean into my Grief, SO HARD!  Suppose to do Grief Support homework, but cry every time I try to write anything down.  I did start a letter to my son, so I guess that's a start?

Grief is hard work. I think you made a great start in starting a letter to your son. I remember vividly starting many things and not being able to complete them because the tears wouldn\'t stop. To this day I have only traveled on the road my son had his accident on twice in six years. It\'s a long process and probably a lifetime process. As you let it into your life and embrace it, grief will teach you. Hugs and continued support. Much love. Robin

Grief is unbearable almost ALL THE TIME!! Everyone grieves so different. It has been 2 years and 7 months since my son Devan passed away! I honestly do not think I could sit down and write him a letter to this day! I am proud of you for trying! This pain is not going to go away over night... or in weeks, or in years! You can only do so much at one time.. and on your own time!! Please be patient with yourself! I am sending you tight (((HUGS))) right now. Love, Debi

You need to do what is right for you. I have seen 4 counselors and am beginning to think I\'m not even ready. I went to 2 support groups and I could not go back. I think perhaps I will again but not right now. Do what you need to do. Rest, sleep, lay under the warm covers and cry. Honey it\'s all you can do right now. Don\'t let outside pressures force you to do what you might not be ready for.
I say this because I am walking through this too.

You are doing your best and sometimes that is leaning into and other times not. You will know what is healing and what isn\'t and just as all these wise women have said be gentle with yourself and know that you are doing all that you can.

There is no finish line or goal to be reached on this grief path and it\'s a new way of living that we are each trying to learn how to do. It takes a lifetime.

Stay close and hope you feel the friendship and understanding that is here.

Heartfelt (((hugs)))

I tried and can\'t get through homework or the letter to Greg, it just starts as My Dearest Son, I Miss you SO MUCH... Then lot\'s of tear stains. The home work is answering questions on how i feel and journaling. But I think I\'m going to journal here... You see the 15 members of my group are all sweet, but none have lost a child, I\'m sorry they lost their spouses, but I feel lost when they share how lonely they are, one lady was with her husband for 67 years, etc. But I\'m blessed I still have my husband with me, but they are all sharing how there children are helping them through their journey and well, I just can\'t relate...
