STILL TIRED!
Monday, 9-29-08: I am still so tired. Today it is more because of lack of sleep. I went to bed at 12:30 a.m. last night...early for me. Craig tossed, turned, got up, cursed, kicked covers, etc. Neither one of us hardly slept! I think he is just too consumed with worry as well as his grief catching up with him. I would've gone in Scott's room and slept but the cover and spread in there are light-weight....no one sleeps in there. It is getting kind of chilly at night. And, there is no alarm clock. I think I will put a warmer blanket on as well as buy an alarm clock. I have kind of wanted to sleep in his bed, anyway. That way if Craig has a crazy night, or I do, I can sleep somewhere else. The kids at school were "off" today. Not just our class, but the whole school. Is there a full moon coming?!?!? Weather change??!?! Whatever it is, I hope it ends soon! One of Scott's friends came over tonight. She shared a couple of songs that reminded her of Scott. Ashley was one of his best friends. We walked and talked down memory lane for quite a while. Scott's 23rd birthday is coming up in Oct. She and Scott had decided that if neither of them was married by the time he was 23 they would marry each other. I am not certain that would've happened but it is hard for her, just the same. Once again, I feel blessed that his friends stay in contact with me. Chris, according to his MySpace blog, is thinking of going back to school to learn the video end of things. There are very few people who know the Audio and the Video. I hope he goes. It will certainly help his career. When Ashley was here we were talking about Scott & her playing the "old school" video games. It brought to mind a Scotty memory.... Chris had a Nintendo...they had only been out for a while and he was mastering Mario. Well, I could not keep up with him and he was too impatient to teach me. He was 11. Scott was only 5. He, very patiently, taught me how to play the Mario game, which mushrooms to jump on, etc. He was so cute as the teacher and so very patient! It was such quality time to sit with him and have him instruct me! He would've made a great teacher & Dad. He had the patience of Job when it came to teaching! I miss him!

How touching that his friends come over to share memories...it is always bittersweet...but hopefully more sweet than bitter. What a sweet, gentle story of Scott. Alex also loved teach you something new. He would slow down his voice and give lots of positive reinforcement...made you feel like you were so important...I miss him too. Thanks for triggering MY memory of Alex. Love to you...Karen
This is just so sweet to have Scott\'s friends keep you involved. They must love you very much to do this! It shows how special he was, too! I have a couple of Jamie\'s as well,--they always call me, \"Mom\" and tell me they love me when they leave. They don\'t talk much about Jamie anymore unless I start a conversation of \"Remember when? Then they open up\" Nobody talks about his death--Nobody.. Love, Judy
How special for you to still have Scott\'s friends stay in touch. I treasure those times when Weston\'s friends stop by...they\'re less and less as their lives get busier and busier and the move all over the place. We did get cards from some of his Air Force friends around his angel date and his birthday. Loved your memory of Scott. What a little sweetheart! Love and hugs, Cyn
I nap in my Son\'s bed sometimes. For me it is a safe place. Love Joanne
Thats a wonderful memory, just made me remember Melissa and I when we used to play donkey kong. She was so good at it. One of Melissa\'s co-workers still stay in touch with us from time to time. I lay in Melissa\'s room sometimes when I want to feel really close to her. Take Care, love and hugs.
It is nice that his friends are around, it helps keep \"him\" around a little. I enjoy having most of Brandon\'s friends come around.
Going into your sons room a getting a good nights sleep might not be a bad idea. I hope that it works for you. A restless night sleep is the worst thing. I hope you get a good nights sleep soon. Tammie
Memories shared are so wonderful It reinforces our believe that our kids where great and are greatly missed. Hope you are sleeping better. Love and hugs Cathy
