Still Renovating!!
Well, it is hump day for you working folks. It is downhill from here to Friday. Sometimes I loose track of the days because I don't work.The boys are downstairs watching cartoons and eating their breakfast while I enjoy my morning coffee. their mum always brings me coffee from our local coffee shop. Gives me the kick to make me get up and get moving. Well, yesterday I put in another five hours plus working on tbe bathroom. We have a large slanted ceiling becuae we live in a large story and a half. this was almost as hard to do as the ceiling so my arms and neck still hurt. I have one medium flat wall to do on the top today and all the bottim walls. I have a border and I am taking the fiberdecor to the border and then making it look recessed. The bottom walls are only half the size of the top so I should (fingers crossed) get it all done today. Of course, that is providing that I do not have any interruptions. Then it takes about 3 days to dry really well before you can put things up.While it is drying I am going to make up some new decorations for the walls. I think I will also paint my large, fancy mirror frame black, it is brown right now. All the accent pieces will be black or white as this is the floor covering and the vanity colors.Tomorrow we are suppose to get hit with a major snow storm ( ah, poo). but it is not suppose to start until the afternoon, so I am hoping that they do not cancel school. Oh, please, please, please!!! I am finding that with the extra work hours that the mom has, which means I have them, plus all the storm days, sick days, inservice days etc. It is eating into a lot of my free time and I have to reschedule things, which I hate to do. I'll really have to think hard about having them again come the fall. iIhave already told her that I don't do summers!! She was fine with that as the dad is home a lot during the summer. He works up north as a heavy equipment engineer and is gone for four to six weeks at a stretch. But when he is home I don't have the boys. And I am so.... happy that he will be home for March Break as I think I would go nuts having them from &:00 til 4:45, five days in a row.Well, there is not much else new as i have been so busy with the bathroom. Did I tell you that my girlfriend and I are flying to Wndsor , Ontario to see my sister in May?I am going to sign off for now and I hope each of you can find some small joy in your life today. Debbie
