Still fighting the urges...
I know how ridiculous this is, but I am still fighting the urge to go to the casino - today. Crazy - not even rational!! :] I have a problem when I hear that people have won x$$ - I go back to the high that I experienced in winning jackpots.. I should go back to the "low" of putting it all back in. :] :] But I do focus on that and can visualize myself winning again on the video poker machines.=!!!!!!!! Stupid, I know, and I will resist... just venting...

I remember the times I lost because it was more traumatic and everlasting. The win, lasts until you put the money in another machine looking for another win. The high is fleeting but the low lasts me days and days. That is what I remember.
Yes, the lows are memorable too, that\'s for sure. Barb - you always have a way of making me see another side to things. I told my husband I wanted to go (just $100)... he said take $100 and go to the mall. :] at least I\'d get something for my money... Time has passed and I\'m back to my senses. :] Take care,
Good job on resisting! Your husband had a wonderful come-back for you. Taking that $100.00 and buying something that you could see and hold to remind you that the machines would just leave you empty handed. I\'m so proud of you for standing your ground! The urges will always be there, it how we act a pond them that is what matters.
Thanks, Patty - you are so right! And - I am glad that I stayed away. Hope you\'re doing well and not working too hard!! :]
