Still can't get the meds right

I feel so very bad. All I want to do is cry. I cannot get into see the dr until Wednesday morning. None of the meds I have seem to be working this morning. I have not gotten neary enough sleep and I am begining to believe that there is somethine more going on here than a bad reaction to meds. I feel so helpless and alone.

You\'re not alone. BTW, a followup on your previous journal - some people are hypersensitive to these meds, and quitting them can be every bit as bad (or even worse) than when starting them. So, I hope that\'s what\'s happening. What would happen if you called your Dr. and said, \"I think I\'m having a bad reaction to the meds, and I need to see you now!!!\" Be your own best advocate. Believe me, your doctor does not want the liability of you doing something rash between now and the time of your scheduled appt. on Wed.

If all else fails, and you\'re still feeling the way you\'re feeling (and the doc won\'t see you until Wed.), get to an emergency room. You do not have to continue feeling like this one more minute.

I\'ll keep you in my thoughts!

I am been in continous communication with my drs office - they have made a few different adjustments in my meds. The last they gave me work for a couple of days but I was told to call this morning and make an appt - sadly that appt is now not until Wed and I am not sure what I am supposed to do for the next two days. On top of waiting to WEd it is not even my regular doctor that I will be seein since she is gone for the week. Ugh. I am just afraid that there is more going on here than a reaction to meds and want them to run some tests so that they can figure it out and get me on the right stuff. I am definitely going to keep an open mind about going to the ER because I am really not sure I can wait until Wed.

Thanks for you thought Zadatz

You\'re welcome! My ex-gf was super sensitive to just about all types of medications, and even the ones that helped had to be a very slow ramp up, and (when/if she went off something) an extremely controlled withdrawal. It didn\'t matter what type of medication.

I think Zadatz has given some very sound advice. HANG in there and by all means, yes go to the ER if need be. Is your SO involved right now? Is he or anyone there to assist you?

I went to the ER and they sent me to an outpatient psych program to help with my anxiety and meds. They put me on different meds and I broke out in a bad rash. They then took me off all meds. I am finally back to myself now. I was discharges from the program yesterday. They wanted me to try a very low dose of a different medication but I want to wait a bit to see how I do now without them. I have an appt on Nov 4th to see a psychiatrist and will discuss it again then. On the brighter side being so anxious made me pull away from my SO because I knew he could not be emotionally supportive. It has helped me realize even more how important it is for me to be able to move on.
