Still a bit overwhelmed right now...

I went to the doctor this morning and found out I am roughly five weeks pregnant. It's hard to explain the emotions right now. I do love children, but I wonder how I will pay for all of it. That sounds silly, right?
I was not actively trying to conceive. I have used very little birth control in my entire marriage of almost 16 years. I am 42 now, so I figured chances were dwindling. Guess again...
Anyway, this is still a bit new to me. Maybe I will warm to the news in a little while. For now, I am battling nausea, feverishness, cramps, and aching breasts. I guess that's the usual.
Hope you guys have a great weekend! HUGS to everyone!

Wow. I can see how that can be overwhelming. I tried for about 6 or 7 years, even with help from the doctors and it didn\'t happen for me...but I can tell you that babies are a blessing. I do have 1 son (I had him at 14) and he is my world. He\'s almost 16 now!
Are you on meds? Did you discuss the side effects with the doc? How does your husband feel about it?
Be safe and keep us updated!

CONGRATS BAHAMA!!!!!! IM SURE THAT YOU ARE OVERWHELMED RIGHT NOW AND YES HUN, EVERYTHING YOU ARE FEELING IS NORMAL. WHEN I GOT PREGNANT 28 YRS AGO.... I KNOW THAT WAS FOREVER....BUT I STILL HAD THE SAME WORRY OF HOW WAS I GOING TO BE ABLE TO AFFORD A BABY. YES MY HUSBAND....NOW EX..HAD A JOB BUT I STILL WORRIED AND GUESS WHAT....GOD PROVIDED EVERYTHING I NEEDED....THEN I TURNED AROUND AND GOT PREGNANT AGAIN IN AFTER MY FIRST ONE TURNED ONE. THAN I WAS REALLY WORRIED BUT ONCE AGAIN....GOD PROVIDED EVERYTHING. I DONT KNOW IF THEY HAVE GARAGE SALES WHERE YOUR AT BUT YOU CAN GET SOME REALLY NICE THINGS IF YOU LOOK FOR THE GOOD ONES AND AGAIN, I DONT KNOW IF THEY HAVE A PLACE WHERE YOU LIVE THAT HAS HELP FOR PEOPLE THAT NEED IT. WHEN MY DAUGHTER FOUND OUT SHE WAS PREG. HER AND HER HUSBAND WENT TO CLASSES AND AS LONG AS YOU WENT TO THE CLASSES ONCE A WEEK YOU COULD GET ALL SORTS OF THINGS FOR THE BABY FOR FREE. IM TALKING CRIB, CHANGING TABLE, BASSINETT...CLOTHES...CAR SEAT STROLLER JUST ALL KIND OF THINGS. SO THERES A FEW SUGGESTIONS FOR YOU AND I HOPE THAT HELPS. TRY TO ENJOY YOUR PREGNANCY AND PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU LET YOUR DR KNOW OF ANY MEDS YOU ARE ON.,
GOD BLESS YOU AND THIS NEW LITTLE BABY THAT GOD HAS CREATED FOR YOU

I stopped taking my Paxil on Monday when I realized I may be heading down this road again. I think a visit to my psychiatrist (the one who prescribed it) is in order

My daughter is 6, and the only things I have left are the big things: crib, bassinet, high chair, and stroller/carseat combo. I guess that is a start...

Oh boy! Surprise! I have 3 sons 21, 17 and 9 so I know a little bit about surprises too! Things will be OK. God gives you everything you need to handle life. \"All things work together for the good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose\" Romans 8:28

Thanks everyone for your love and support! I\'m heading out this morning for blood tests. Doctor also told me about a chromosome test that they can do to check the health of the baby. It\'s not time for that yet...
