Steroids are wonderful
I laid in bed this morning and visited with my husband. I could lay in bed and take a deep breath. I could lay in bed and open, albeit not all the way, my left eye and see something other than eyelashes.
Now's when I need to chain myself. The kids had come over for family game night last evening and to watch the Brewer game. I have dirty dishes and baby toys to pick up and did notice as I was starting in the living room that I was huffing and puffing like a locomotive.
Yes, I know dear friends, slow and steady wins the race. I was thinking I should take the baby visiting when I sit this afternoon, but we will stay in the confines of my little world. Maybe we'll sit in the leaves and get some pictures with pumpkins. I have him from 12:30 to 4:30.
My Son-in-law dropped the bomb that he is considering joining the military as he would like a job in the medical field. They thought I would be totally anti-military, but these are tough times for young folks and we cannot be counted on to help them out forever. Time will tell. He is just talking with a recruiter now.

Enjoy exploring the new world that is a child\'s everyday experience. I remember a morning when one just walking spent most of the day just listening to how our feet sounded on different surfaces, grass, leaves, gravel, the floor that made the clock chime, and stopping here and there to listen to the sounds of nature and man and learn a few more signs. She could sign before she could speak. There are amazing things on the ground, just be sure they are not chiggers and you can get up! b

LOL there are no chiggers in Wisconsin. Not sure exactly what they are, but I do know we don\'t have them in the north. Debbie, seriously, hope you have a good day. Enjoy the beautiful weather we are having. Maybe take a drive with hubby and look at the explosion of fall colors.

No chiggers!!!! I would almost . . . almost . . . trade the mild winters for cold and no chiggers. Let \'s just say, never go wild blackberry picking down south without bug spray (or fishing in the tall grass)\' you would learn soon enough about chiggers. You don\'t know you\'ve been eaten alive until later when the itching starts--they tend to congregate where ever your clothes are tightest, especially around your underwear---- no fun at all! Might be one advantage of being on steroids or immune suppressants--no itching with chiggers, bad as a medium bad case of poison ivy. Hope you are awakening to a lovely day, Debbie. Ours is gorgeous, the mountains are beginning to change colors, not having any problem with the chiggers and I know what poison ivy looks like! b.
Boy, oh boy, we have chiggers here. They can make you miserable! Do you have no-see-ums in Wisconsin and Tennessee? Hate those too!

No chiggers but we have ticks!!! I had quite a nice day. Didn\'t do the photoing. Daughter and i did it after she got home from church today.
Yaaaaay for rain in Texas, and boooo for chiggers, no-see-ums, ( yes we do have them in east Tennesse, but we also had them almost comletely wiped out by the migrating warblers in our yard), and ticks. b.
