Staying positive . .
Just a quick update - I'm still GF!! Spent this past weekend in AZ with some very good long-time friends and had a very nice time; though we talk about moving there, I'm not so sure I could take the dryness. When I return I'm usually greatly affected by it, and not in a good way! I titled this staying positive because with the state of the economy and the politics going on all of the time, I've begun to feel so anxious about it all. I'm sure I'm not alone. One of the good things about it is it keeps my mind off of gambling. :] Seriously, I have had a few urges but not too bad, actually. And - the best part is I haven't acted on them. Hope everyone is doing well - - Smokeygirl (just trying to stay positive)

WTG!!! Not acting on those urges is what it is all about! Living anywhere else after living where you do is a big adjustment! I really miss the San Diego area where I lived for 8 years....although many other places do have a lot to offer, the weather, the beauty of the area, all the things to do there....(sigh).....

How wonderful to hear from you! I am so happy that you are doing so well. Staying positive is a great asset, it can only help only the journey. I am with you on the drynesss in AZ. I have only been there once, but that was enough for me!

Great to hear youre staying positive!! I was born in Northern Virginia and it can get pretty humid here, but I moved to Nashville once for about two years where it is like 1,000 times more humid in my opinion. Anyway, when I moved back I had a lot of sinus problems and seasonal issues I never had before, always thought that was weird.

Well so glad to hear you had fun with your friends and staying positive is the way to go....I struggle with major urges and still somtimes act on them but I am not giving up the fight....I still go to my meetings and my counselor and keep HONEST with myself and others....so glad for you keep up the good work you are an inspiration to others....Just for Today I will not Gamble......
