starting my day

I woke up at 2am - then 330am and then I had my breakfast in bed at around 430am.

There's so much to be thankful for. What I really want to mention is that, this morning,

though I may have woken up with a sense of discombobulation, the action of putting my feelings

aside and helping someone really makes me feel better in the moment.

I think we all have to deal with our feelings of the moment, but then to deal with life we have to set

them aside and hopefully, thankfully too, our spirits are lifted by just the action. Either interaction with someone

or a task at hand, it raises our spirits. It can feel like I have had such an urgency about my feelings when I have had

them. Now I'm realizing if we all focus on our feelings intensely, then in fact we all might experience a sense of urgency

about them. I'm recognizing that I can address my feelings at a later time. Either here online or with my therapist two times a week. I really hope I can step aside from my or with my experience and give her a break from doctoring me all the time.

Sending peace and good vibes! Happy Father's Day to all you fathers out there!! :)

Happy Father's Day to Blue's awesome dad! I'm learning about how our thoughts affect our feelings and behavior because I have intense feelings, too, that cause me angst. If we manage our thoughts, our feelings won't be so intense, and CBT strategies help with this. Your great therapist probably talks about them. There is some good info. here... https://positivepsychology.com/cbt-cognitive-behavioral-therapy-techniques-worksheets/

I think the hardest part of managing these mind illnesses is dealing with the intensity. It’s one thing to be “passionate” or driven, but it becomes an entirely new animal when it starts manifesting into poor decisions, impulsive decisions,
Or blurting out random crazy (I know we don’t like that word here but I’m using it) things that could hurt others.

It helps me with perspective to know that we are ALL navigating this, illness or not, and we are hopefully all practicing our mindful chops to learn new reactive ways to navigate through people, relationships, work, family, in society.

We are all wranglers of our own paths, even when it may seem like others are doing it for us (like your reliance on your therapist). But we are doing ok when we address, assert that feeling and move on with this knowledge or insight.

But also being careful not to “overthink it” and trust our gut in time!!!

Anyway Marko, I know you are hung up on illness and balancing the knowledge you have of the illness with the standard human ways of living, and as your pal here, I just want to assure you you are doing ok! This is only one sphere of processing. There is a whole other world where you take these practices and apply. If it helps to visualize it, take all your understandings youve written and discussed with peers and then slather them all over like sunscreen before you go out in the bright sun of society.

Hugs. And boop to Blue from
