Starting a new habit
Arfie, you come to mind when I mention this, but I have found myself realizing that my mind is very creative at getting the needs met, with or without my cognition. I'm learning to step back and realize that force is within me and I am getting better at refereeing. I am also gaining new insight into that we each have needs and vulnerabilities that we're each negotiating as we communicate with each other.
My new habit is, about stepping back and making room for that.
But also the habit is about realizing my nervousness as I communicate with others and the lingering thoughts that I've communicated awkwardly or insufficiently. When I see that duality in that we each may be dealing with that, it also helps me to keep focused and reassured on my path.

thank you, grasshopper. i was even applauding until you fell back into that old habit of comparing by the power of the "royal we." i agree with the general sentiment that there are common traits shared by all members of the human species, but a) i like to leave room to let the exceptions be exceptional and b) the know-it-all assumptions have cheated me out of many great stories of epic individual triumph. i believe i should let each of my royal subjects tell their own story.
and keep your dualities to yourself, your highness. please allow me to see life as more complex than an either/or.
okay, okay. . . time to go dig for more navel lint here on my lofty mountain top.
Aww Arfie, as Barbra Streisand sang ‘don’t rain on my parade!’ Hehe Just kidding. Thanks for your thoughts. See you around Charlie Brown
how 'bout a companion tune to "don't rain on my parade?"
