St. Patrick's Day
Nothing really happened today. I just stayed in bed like I do on my days off and made dinner. I couldn't go for my walk today because my left knee has been bothering me since I woke up. I don't know what I did to it, probably something in my sleep. I wish I knew so I don't do it again. I don't feel good just staying at home all day and not doing any exercise. I know I need a day of rest here and there, but I didn't want to rest today, I wanted to go out. It was a beautiful day, and I wanted to get some of it. I could have just gone outside, but I don't have anyplace to sit outside and I can't stand for too long. If I do then my feet start hurting really bad. I can walk for a lot longer than I can stand, that's why I'm better at walking. But when I go to places that require a lot of walking and standing (amusement parks and fairs for example) my feet start hurting really badly too. I can get through the day if I sit enough. I miss going to amusement parks and such but I don't bother trying to go right now. The last time I was at Six Flags I had trouble fitting into the seats on the rides and almost had to get off of one ride when I tried to get on because I couldn't close the seat. I had help, and then they got it to close so I could ride the ride. It was quite embarrassing. I'm not back to a weight where I would be able to go on rides yet, but I'm working on it.
I weighed in today. I gained about a pound in the past couple days, but that's okay. At least I'm still under 225. I'm at 224.5 pounds now. Hopefully my weight will go down as the detox continues. The pills I'm on are supposed to make you gain weight, but I've been able to lose weight on them. I just have to work harder at losing weight than someone who is not on the pills. Well, I shouldn't say they are supposed to make you gain weight, they just are known for causing weight gain for people. But I've been able to prevent that by eating right and exercising. I've really been craving sweets lately, though, but I have almost nothing sweet to eat. I just remembered right now that I have some leftover peppermint bark from Christmas that I stashed in the freezer. Geo knows that's my favorite stuff, so he doesn't touch it. I can have a small piece of it and be okay.
I didn't do anything special for St. Patrick's day. I didn't go out, I didn't wear green or anything (just my red house dress), the only time I stepped out of my apartment was to get the mail. I was supposed to do laundry, but I forgot. Now it's too late to do it, so I have to wait until tomorrow. Oh well, it's not a big deal. I just have to not forget tomorrow. I won't have time to do it again until Wednesday when I have my day off. I'm going to try and do a complete week this week. I know it's going to be hard with the detox going on and stuff, but I'm going to try. I've been having trouble falling asleep, but once I get to sleep I seem to be sleeping better. I don't find the need for coffee to be as strong as it used to be. And I don't think it's because I used to be addicted to caffeine. I didn't get any of the withdrawal headaches that I normally get.
Speaking of withdrawal, I'm continuing on my detox still. I'm at day 3. I'm taking 300mg of trazadone, 2mg of risperdal, 2mg of Congentin and 20mg of celexa. Those are all half doses of what I used to take. So far no side effects. I'm going to lower my Depakote tonight to 250 from 500mg. I forgot to do that last night, so I'm going to just start on the Depakote tonight. The only problem with doing them all at once is that if I start getting side effects that I won't know which one is doing it. I think I should be fine, though... I'm not detoxing from anything that would cause anything like seizures or anything like that. I'm not taking klonopin during the detox since I want to be clean of all psych meds.
Food today was okay... I'm low on my calories, but I should be okay once I eat the peppermint bark. I had banana bread for breakfast, a Subway sub for lunch, and stir fry chicken for dinner. I also had a bunch of salad for a snack. Mood today was good.. I was up for enough time to know I'm having a good day. Some days I sleep so much that I never fully wake up and can tell how I'm doing. Sleep last night was good... even though I'm cutting back on my sleeping pills I'm sleeping well. Stress today was low.. I don't have anything to be stressed about. Maybe tomorrow when I have to think of going back to work. No hallucinations or other psych symptoms.

its fine to have a day were you say screw it and do nothing, i wish i could be more like that. question: why do your feet hurt so much? my knee is very bad, i have nothing left in the knee, just bone and i will need a knee replacement at some time. i have found that using a brace, one of those 1 piece kinds in drug stores, help give it support while walking. with the nice weather now, i have to remember to wear it even during yard work and such, it doesnt prevent the knee from hurting, but helps somewhat. maybe give it a try. good you are not obessing about the pound, yo will lose it and more, you are going about the weight loss in a healthy way. i had the same problem with rides when i was very heavy, so i avoided going on and just let the kids go. now, when i could fit easily i have no one to go with and actually the crowds bother me. good to hear detox is going weel, and you are sleeping. take work one day at a time, i have found that is the only way i get through it.
Sorry you have so much trouble with your feet and don\'t feel well. Could you maybe just sit on a step for a few minutes to get some sun.
You know what a perfect sweet treat is : frozen yoghurt. It\'s actually healthy and tastes so yummy.
I don\'t know why my feet hurt the way they do... I went to a podiatrist and he recommended insoles. they are waiting at his office until I can get the money to go see him again. I\'m trying to save money for my sister\'s graduation so i can go to LA and see her. And frozen yogurt is yummy, but I can\'t keep any sweets in the house that Geo won\'t eat. Anything sweet is gone within days of it coming in, no matter how big the package. I just wish he could get his eating under control. I love him, though, no matter what.
