spring time birds

It has rained so much. Before this it was snow. Much more of both than usual in Indiana. I have a lot to do so but on rain gear or whatever and get out there anyway. I noticed the birds building nests and doing their tasks despite weather. That was neat. I never thought about what birds did to care for themselves when it rain day after day. I so appreciate hearing them sing too. It is as though they sing away the rain sometimes.
My favorite bird is the wood thrush. They arrive when it is warm. We have a frost warning tonight so not looking for them yet. It wont be long though.
