Spring Break

Jeff,
The final performance of "GREASE" was tonight at the high school. The boys were great! You would have enjoyed watching Connor and Hunter and would have been so proud of them. Hunter even asked me yesterday if I thought you would have liked it. Of course I said yes! We had the cast party up at the Steak House so the kids could relax, play pool, they hooked up Dance Dance Revolution to the big screen, some of the kids played games at the tables. Darcee and I provided food like usual. KU played ball tonight so we watched it on the other tv too.
Now that the play is over, Spring Break is officially here. You would not have allowed this, because you didn't like all the noise when you were trying to sleep, but I've let Logan, Isaac, Alex, and Troy all come over to spend the night with Connor and Hunter. They've got 2 tv's hooked up to their xbox in the basement and have informed me that it will be marathon games til the last man drops! LOL I love having the kids around. I even did when theĀ  boys were little, before you and I married. I use to have a dozen middle school boys sprawled out all over my living room in sleeping bags on any given weekend. I love being the place where the boys and their friends LIKE to hang out. I just told the boys ( all 6 of them) they are working for me tomorrow. We are moving furniture and cleaning out some things in the garage. They have agreed. We'll see how agreeable they are when they have had no sleep and I'm getting them up early!! You would have had them up EARLY!!! But, you would have made them a great breakfast in exchange for the work.
Tomorrow, after the work is done, there will be about 10 boys in the basement playing their guitars, drums, electric piano, and recording music. That has been their big plan for weeks now. Who was going to be coming to our house to make music. Again, not something you would have been fond of. But, I have always enjoyed the loud music. It has gotten louder since you are gone. :)
I'm sure I'm surrounding myself with all of these young people to fill our house with laughter. I am not ready for the empty nest that is approaching this house in the next two years. Connor graduates in just 2 months and then Hunter next year. I was looking forward to all of the days together with you and the plans we had made. I am trying to make my own plans now, but its hard. I know its only been 3 months and maybe too early to try to plan anything but how to get through this day, but I still try to move forward. I remember YOU in every thing I do. But I have to move forward.
Love you Jeff,

It sounds like you had a busy week end. Keeping the house full is a good thing right now. It helps to fill the void, and yes, we have all planned a future after the empty nest and must now plan one for ourselves instead. You seem to be making remarkable progress. I am so glad that you have your son\'s and their friends to help you with the heavy stuff. Enjoy spring break with the boys. Hugs Jane
