I had some good inspiration tonight, I was facing the same old tortures within me. A few moments of peace and then a twist and turmoil within my mind. But recently I’ve realize that even at moments like these we have to push through the stress and anxiety and keep going. Keep doing the work. To not be derailed and to not fixate on the upset but to keep going knowing there is no perfect. It ebbs and flows. We’re all human. Tonight though, in my turmoil, I realized that life was yet again showing me another question to be understood, that we are ever destined to turn thoughts around, discover a new question and a new answer and I kept going even so. As I stood in front of the iconostasis I was not just looking at icons but at men and women, all who were searching out questions and dealing with life. It felt comforting and engaging that they seemed to be saying to me that ‘yeah, we’re all of us here to find the meaning of what it is to be human’ ‘We’re all struggling with those questions and that nature to find an answer only to trip over a new question.’ Again it was communal and comforting.
