spazzy, i am excited! :) hehe
so today is thursday and I did something that is telling that I am starting to develop some old, but good practices.
my income is very low - but I am paid on Thursdays - and I have decided that every Thursday from now on, I willÂ
withdraw and save $100 from my paycheck. I have the luxury of saving so much because I don't have much of a social life (and all the expenses that go along with that.) I bought myself a couple of treats which should last me today, Friday and Saturday.
Then I will go into austerity mode until next Thursday. I will buy probably a coffee for myself and gasoline for the car. Now, however, saving is the priority.
I am getting a sense of what my basic costs/needs are in terms of toiletries and expenses like that. I have lived this way before -
and now, though this is but one part of my life, saving is 'in focus' today - and I am designing a system for myself - that I am pretty sure I can keep.
Saving isn't really enough, I need to expand my work horizons - and that will take a lot of grit, spirit and cojones.
So spazzy I am just excited that things are looking good here today. :)

ok, this is something i just wrote that is an extension of my previous journal. I think I am starting to have some cognition about my choices and actions. I have tried to be very honest with myself lately. I just think, it's ok to listen to myself and then put two and two together. I think everyone has to make sense of their life somehow. This is me.

i think about how i like the orderliness of my life - and the goals I want to pursue -
i am lying low and in saving mode -
and i wonder... how is it for other people ?-
this is an important step. other people have limits to their lives too
and still go for their goals - and have to adjust and navigate life
to make things possible.
so why do i think there is no possibility or potential for me to have an investment
in my future or in my professional life - or maybe instead of asking 'why'
maybe i can determine the first steps at doing that - is that a road to take or not - i might ask - but instead of just shutting down - or diving my head into the sand - let's
invest and navigate 'the possible' -
Good for you saving Marky.... This is a hard one for me..... All of my money seems to go to Rascal....smile.... It's nice to save for something special.... Maybe a nice trip??..... Big hug.....xoxo
it would be nice to save for a trip Jan! I kind of feel like I am saving for emergencies. Like in case I get sick or lose my SSDI - then I will be able to pay my rent. I want to save at least a year's or maybe 6 month's worth of rent. I am trying to save $100 a week but I know I can't keep that up because of the ocassional expense and stuff. XO
That's great sweetie.... I sometimes forget how grateful I need to be for the healthcare system that we have..... ...xo
yeah, i agree.
