Spasms and optimism
Muscle spasms are becoming more and more frequent over my entire body with the worst of them in the same spots as always; lower back, hips, and behind my shoulder blades. Sometimes they are so severe, it reminds me of when I was pregnant (with twins) and they would have a soccer match in there. You can see my clothes moving. It's crazy.
Really glad I found this site and the group. Nice to know others who go through the same problems. Unless a person has fm, they have no idea what you go through. It gets incredibly frustrating. Especially when your spouse doesn't understand how it can completely consume and isolate you. So great to see and share experiences with others, though.
Really looking forward to getting out with my kids and husband later. First day in a while that I haven't felt like to all crap, yay!

I am having exactly the same problem, do u take anything to help with these spams? I saw my gp about them last week, he offered no treatment but he has order yet more blood tests and referred me to a sleep clinic?!
I was going to ask the same question as Rainbow about taking something for muscle spasms. I take a muscle relaxer at night. I know my sister-in-law takes the same thing throughout the day for hers. It is Zanaflex and it really helps me relax at night so I can at least calm down from the day.
It has got to be hard for you if your husband doesn\'t understand your fibro. If you need to talk or vent I would be happy to chat. I am online a lot...I can finally say that I am retired...that word sounds so lovely to me.

Magnesium is supposed to help relax muscles, and it did help me a little, but it made me painfully bloated so it wasn\'t really worth it. Because I\'m in between health care coverage (recently moved to another state), I haven\'t been to a neurologist, as was recommended. Because my muscles spasm so much, it causes massive knots that have even pushed my hips and shoulders out of place. Massage therapy has been the most effective thing I\'ve tried, but I have to go regularly and it gets pricey. So great hearing from other people. Message me anytime!
