Sore mouth....ouch!

I have had dry mouth for 8 months but not until a  couple of weeks ago did I experience the real meaning of dry mouth...OUCH!    First my tongue got very sore and burning feeling..OUCH!   Everything I eat and drink irritates it more...OUCH!    Then today all day my gums have been throbbing and I can taste blood in the little saliva I do have?   And tonight I discovered a very sore painful tender spot on the top right side of my upper gums...OUCH!  I can also feel a bump on the right side of my face on the bottom?   Hmmmmmmmm??? I checked in with my pd today and he will be calling me back probably in the morning.  I have fought the idea of mentioning this mouth problem to him because I do not want my meds altered or worse changed...aaahhh!    I looked up on the internet and talked to some nurses and was happy to know it is probably just dry mouth.  I did start a new sleep med last week and it is a side effect.  At first I panicked because I thought it might be the "evil rash" that you can get from Lamictal which I started a couple of months ago, but I don't think so, I think I have very bad dry mouth?   So now when my pd calls me I feel it best to let him know about this, since he is the one who is in charge of my meds.  I hate being obedient when I don't want to be...LOL So I am taking my throbbing painful dry mouth to bed with me so good night all!  oxoxxo

If the dry mouth is a side effect, or could possibly be, you have to talk to the doctor. Now, be a good girl Ramona....ok? ok!!! Hugsssssss
