Sophie Update
Sadly the woman who was going to donate $1200 towards Sophie's surgery, well it’s not going to happen. She is more than willing to still donate the money but refuses to pay other than by cheque or credit card over the phone and the surgeons place won’t do that. The woman said it was ridiculous that she couldn’t pay that way. She said she has dealt with numerous clinics in Canada and the United States and she has never been asked to pay by certified cheque or bank note and that she won’t pay that way and doesn’t have time to go get them. I feel at a loss. I feel so sick to my stomach. She suggests I go to a really good surgeon in another town who would be cheaper….ya and he’s two hours away. How the hell would I get there and back and go for the 2 week and 8 week checkup; I no longer have a car because I couldn't afford it. And what if something goes wrong and she needs to be seen right away after surgery.
I just can't stop crying. I wish more people had of been able to donate even small amounts to help out. Feeling very sick to my stomach. If I wait much longer the surgeon is going to have to cut her femur bone too which is more pain for Sophie and more costly surgery.
Not many people have read Sophie's blog or even shared it. I was so hopeful about getting donations but feels like all hope is gone.

I\'m so sorry to hear so few even read Sophie\'s blog. I know how important it was to get his process started without delay. Just maybe something will work out from somewhere. Stranger things have happened.

I hope something will work out. I can only hope. In the mean time I feel just sick about it. I pushed her date from this coming Monday to the end of November and the surgeon said we really can\'t go any later. I don\'t want her ending up with more extensive surgery and having her femur bones cut. she is going to be in enough pain without that and that will also up the price of the surgery. I am really disappointed with this woman who said she would donate. what is the big deal going to the bank and getting a certified cheque or bank note. I mean sure she\'\'s never had to do it before, but I feel if she really cared she would do it. and to suggest I go two hours away is stupid. plus I have no car and the pet ambulance here probably costs a fortune and in the long run end up paying just as much.
the reason that women decided not to do it unless she was sending the money through a credit card to the animal place ...is because there are a way to maney scares ..going on ....she is just protecting her self ...I understand it is hard on you ....but ....she dident make the world what it is she only has to live in it ...the fact that she made the offer ..I think goes a long way in saying she does care .......I am very sorry it fell through ........
