Sometimes it's just of those days, plus a Video Vault featuring one of the worst flops ever

Ever have a day when just nothing seems to go right and there really isn't anyone or anything to blame...it just is? Today was one of those days for me. The intention was to get some studying done, but it went downhill from there.
First, as I was setting up the carafe on the house coffeemaker somehow broke. Not really sure why. Nobody exactly hurled it into something...my mother was just washing it like we tend to do after using it and it shattered. No one was hurt. But we have coffee at pretty much every breakfast, and while I can probably do without after a good night's sleep, I'm not sure the same can be said for my parents who are in their sixties and sometimes have trouble getting going in the morning. Since I was the one who didn't have anywhere to go, it fell on me to get either a new carafe or a new coffeemaker. So I did, doing what my mother would do: Check a couple of stores and see if I had any luck. This worked out, but it basically shot the morning to pieces (it ended up being a 2-hour "mission".)
So I think, "Okay, maybe I can save the afternoon." But I'm having trouble getting into a groove. It is spring after all, and that is the time for birds to flock in particular. No surprise, then, that the pet cockatiel (is that a spelling error?) wants her "flock"; she's peeping like crazy. The only real way to quiet her down is to give her what she wants. And by this point I've had enough distractions (doesn't take that much, really) to know that my plans are pretty much stalled for the day, so I gave her some "flock".
Some days just weren't meant to work out. This was one of them.
Now for the comedy break. Here's a basketball incident from the Phillippines Basketball Association that made it into ESPN SportsCenter's Not Top Ten (the worst plays of the week) earlier today. The principals are Will McDonald, in white, and Mick Pennisi, in red. Pennisi is apparently known as one of the Phillippines' dirtiest players (unconfirmed, but it's the impression I get based on comments I've seen from the video I'm about to reveal). The two get involved in a tussle under the basket, with some elbowing by Pennisi, which apparently got him called for a foul. Meanwhile, the ball just happens to land in McDonald's hands from a missed shot just before the whistle, and he's not exactly pleased with Pennisi's attempts to box him out for a possible rebound.
McDonald proceeds to take his anger out on Pennisi (never a good idea, no matter where it's taking place), bouncing the ball hard enough off of Pennisi's head to send it somewhere in the direction of the cheap seats. Pennisi's reaction is priceless...seriously, he should win an Academy Award for what happens next, which I now present in both slow and regular motion:
