sometimes I make the day more than what it really is

So I woke up with purpose this morning.. as I wrote in the previous journal.

I found myself mentally going 'big picture' - like I should find some righteous

or major vision for my life and that got me no-where. Just frozen a bit in my tracks.

I called my therapist and just listened to her message and I remembered all the things

we had talked about...in terms of doing things to enjoy my time off or projects to keep

busy. I forgot all of them for some reason - and now I am remembering them.

I am glad I called her.

Will write more later.

taking that first step for yourself, will help you build that momentum.

The old adage about not being able to see the forest for the trees can work al contrario, as well. Getting too caught up in seeing the forest will deprive you of the trees and all the life they contain.

Every big picture has a kajillion details in it. Take care of those details and the big picture is already taken care of.

Warren Buffet once said "take care of the pennies ....and the dollars take care of themselves.." :)

My Grandma was a battle-ax of a German businesswoman. Her version was, "If you can't manage a penny, a dollar will make you a hundred times more foolish." The nummy treats weren't the number one reason kids behaved in Grandma's bakery. That woman was a master of The Evil Eye. She could silence a pack of promising politicians without a single word.
