Sometimes I Get Tired
I haven't been writing so much lately. The reason is I hate being a sad sack and I'm dealing with some things right now. So... although I hate having to dump yet again... this is where I go... I'll say it fast... LOL I live right outside of Baton Rouge and honestly I hate what happened and what is happening... Things seem to be better and I continue to pray. Just unreal how ugly it gets...
Second I have another foot infection... actually its my toe, the 2nd one right foot, same one they amputated part of in December, and I go in the hospital later today and they will amputate part or all of the second toe tomorrow morning. Its a relatively minor surgery and my biggest concern with it is just how often will this happen... Getting old and the struggle is early stages.
Finally my liver enzymes are way high and I'm sick a lot. Nausea, etc. They are checking into things. Hopefully it won't be too serious.
Dang let's talk about something positive. Did I tell you we went to the Josh Groban concert... Oh my Sara McLaughlin fronted for him. They are both so good... and then they sang a couple together and oh my... Yes it was great!
I am liking that I am getting notices when my friends post. I hope we get increase type size back as this is a wee bit small for my eyes. I'm glad they are supposed to be bringing the photos back.
Richard and I are looking forward to seeing some of you in Branson. Lord willing and the creek don't rise... Hugs Elissa

I am sorry..grief born illness knows no bounds
Elissa, so sorry to hear about this. I will start my prayers again headed your way. Yes, the world is an ugly place, especially lately. Our minister advised us to pray a lot about it and for the presidential candidates who will be taking over. (He didn't get political, nor will I. Lol). Sending tight hugs and lots of prayers...
Oh Elissa, I'm so sorry that you've been so ill. I pray that all goes well with your foot surgery. It's so very hard to stay positive when our health is not good. Elissa, please never feel as if you are "dumping". We are all here to care for and support one another in any way that we can, big or small.
That Josh Groban concert sounded fantastic and with Sara McLaughlin no less. Wow! Nice!
Looking forward to seeing you in Branson too, God willing!
Take care dear friend and may you be well!
Love and Peace,
Diane
It's so hard not to feel well and I'm sorry about the need for another surgery. No matter how "small" they are still invasive and the body takes time to heal. Hoping you will begin to feel better with each day.
My Sarah and I saw Sara McLaughlin in Utah many years ago and she was amazing. Wow, add Josh into the mix and I'm sure it was magical. Both of them such unique and powerful voices.
Gentle care and hoping you feel your Cara close by. Glad you have the retreat to look forward and God willing that creek won't jump the banks.
XO Joanie
This is the place where we are allowed to be a sad sack!!! Many of us are on facebook but it's too depressing right now because of all the politics and the unrest going on. Love You!!
Oh my goodness...I hope all goes well...take good care of yourself.
It is horrible to feel sick! I'm so sorry that you have to deal with all of this, Elissa. Please take good care of yourself!
Loving hugs! xxx
Elissa, I do really enjoy having you on facebook however, really feel uncomfortable when one of us chooses to use it as a place to vent. There is one Mom there, from England, that I've tried to get to come here but so far she doesn't feel she can. So, she vents and rants on fb. She gets so many inappropriate responses there I sometimes have to just scroll past. So hurtful. Here we understand. Here, if it's not today, then tomorrow will be my turn to rant, and it's OK!!!
I'm so sorry that you are again faced with surgery. Major or minor, there is discomfort and pain involved and we can hardly deal with what we have. Never need to add physical pain on top of this.
Gentlest hugs on your healing journey. Please let us know when you are able to. I'll be looking for you on fb!
xoxo Merrilee
I am so sorry you are having health issues. I hope you get it all sorted out before the retreat. I am getting excited about it! I am not getting email notices. I will have to check it out. Take care Elissa. Tight hugs, M
I send my prayers all your ills will go away,,,and soon,,, love ya!
Many prayers and hugs for you my friend. Getting old does stink especially when I have chronic pain and so many other issues that come along on its curtails. It seems everytime I see my doc I get a new diagnosis and I am only 57. BUT I believe God has all of us moms in His arms and will take good care of us and hold us when we can not stand on our own.
Sending loving hugs,
Susie
I hope the tests reveal that nothing too serious is going on with your liver. Feel better my friend. Love to you and dearest Cara, Linda
Got you in my prayers! Vent all you want. It's good for you. Gentle hugs...Lesa
