something good came out of something bad

hi again,
something good came about this week, if you're in the mood for a tale of woe and finally a resolution, make a cup of tea and pull up a chair.
i got pretty upset a while back when i took my car in for repairs.  AAA had jumped my car engine, and this auto repair place had been alerted that I was on my way.  when i arrived, my car conked out in front of their front door.
a girl named Tiffani came out and yelled at me, a long rude lecture.  i looked at her like i would at any person with two heads and weird horns.  ummmmm, hello, the engine died........cars do that.  you would think that a car repair place would have some knowledge that car engines die thus necessitating the need for said car repair business.
she was a big jerk, after she yelled at me she stomped back inside and i wasn't sure what to do...
wait there, die, disappear........go inside.
i felt like they had me over a barrel, sick as all get out, dead car........not good.
i opted to go in.  she continued to be rude, snotty clipped tones.  i tried with her, i really did.  I said it is unfortunate that my car engine died in a bad spot, however I don't see the necessity or reason behind your behavior.  Let's start over.......you be kind and I will be kind.....ok?  She gritted her teeth and ground out, "LOOK I am helping you! as she averted her eyes and then rolled them at the employee next to her. I looked at her and I said "I am right here, don't you know that I can see and hear you?"  I was calm as can be.......soft spoken.......talk about twilight zone.   i got looks, snickers.........from employees.  two customers next to me were flummoxed by this display of hers, it was very obvious.  she was rude, immature............wrong, a bully......full of her own importance, -------
most places would not tolerate this type of behavior.  Jobs are hard to come by.  Repeat business is important........so is customer service.
I was not functioning well that day.  I was foggy and slow.  I had a hard time walking even with my cane.  I felt way more pitiful than I looked. Most of you know exactly what I mean, a soft breeze can knock us for a loop.......
It was not a good day for me to be out, and this was pretty unbelievable.
I contacted the manager.  He said a perfunctory "sorry" much like a rebellious juvenile delinquent would and then he said he was completely aware of the situation and he completely supported Tiffani's handling of the situation.  He was a supercilious pompous rude jerkabuck.
After than I went further......I contacted the corporate office.  They said that while this building has use of their name/logo/etc. it is independently owned & operated.  i told them that they need to screen people who represent their "good name" me thinks.  To all the world it looks like it is them......duh.
This really got  under my skin........it hurt.  Wanted the mouse to pull out the thorn of my tender paw.
I don't like being treated this way nor do I want anyone else to have this experience.  I kept handing it off to God whenever it would stir up negative feelings..........take the grown up pill, let it go.......we all know the world is not perfect - we gotta move on. so i did......................
then early this week, i got a long message from someone, he said he was the Regional District Manager for this store's location.......interesting.  He said he wanted to invite me to count on their business for all of my automotive needs in the coming new year.  I know it was a mass e-mail, I get it.........it reared up all those feelings again.
So I took a deep breath and shared my story, then asked him to remove me from any future mailings.  He asked me if he could look into this and that he was sorry that this happened.  He contacted the store.
Now the manager says he was not there .......that he doesn't know about this......he denied ever talking to me.   I can easily imagine I'm not the only one being lied too or mistreated.........he probably can't remember talking just to me.......he probably has lots of FIRES TO PUT OUT.
So today, the regional district manager relayed to me that bullying, rudeness, mistreatment of customers is never tolerated..........they have a policy of zero tolerance. Next he copied me on a formal letter sent to this store manager & to corporate headquarters.  Pretty interesting huh.  He apologized for the way that this man and his employees went out of their way to LOSE my business.
It is an interesting world.......since the "independent owner/operator" of this store has a district regional manager we know that the corporate office also fed me bean dip & hash. The person at corporate is also a liar liar pants on fire..............how sad and messed up is that?
On the other hand it also reminds me that we need to continue to be open to people as individuals.......not everyone at this company or in life is a bad apple. MOST people are decent and kind.
"And even if they are only a little indecent and unkind.......stay with me now.......most people have the wherewithal to talk about you behind your back like the majority of normal people do!"
Funny - sure........but we all need to release a little steam........I dealt with customer resolution during my long professional career.  We're human .......most people are pretty good overall .......we need to try to lasso and straighten out the knuckleheads. Call 'em on it, we're all apart of raising the next generation.
why am I so cold.  It took me a long time to stand up so I could put soup in the microwave.  PEM* feels like heavy hard painful cement.........feel like I'm gonna end up at the bottom of the well.  sparrow is crashing......with spurts of clarity.  time to reboot.  my voice is so weak........made some fresh chicken veggie soup yesterday.  sense of humor still here.........just noticed that i talked about myself in the 3rd person...............oooooooooooooooooo dear.
*PEM = post exertional malaise, a very specific marker particular to those who suffer with CFS/ME.

You have a lot of integrity , Serce, It is refreshing how you responded to this.
PEM is horrible. I found a link that gave me hope. I will post it if I can find it again. Basically it said the cell mitochondria might be involved and so to help or heal the mitochondria work you can do 3 things. One was to have apple cidear vinegar daily. This was written by a CF patient. What amazed me is that without this possible missing link you just can\'t get over the PEm.
I don\'t know if the person is right but I am adding the 3 items slowly.
We could start an I hate PEM club. It is a big problem for me.

This isn\'t the link but it is another interesting one as Apple cidear vinegar does alkalize the body.

I had a VERY similiar situation at a car place!! They claimed to have fixed my car, charged me a massive amount of money and let me drive my UNSAFE car home. I took it back three times and they NEVER did the work they should have done originally!!! I complained to the store and they lied and did nothing - so, like you, I went to the top ! I actually got in touch with the President, who called me back and was all apologetic! They finally refunded all of my money, fixed the car and asked me to never set foot in their store again!! The last part was NOT a problem!!!!

I\'m so daggone proud of you! Rude people should be lassoed into on to 200 large groups and sent off to Hiroshima! We ask for SO little, us disabled folk! Their first clue, might have been your cane. I might of swung the thing at that girl! We ain\'t supposed to cast our pearls before swine.....so I\'m glad you let someone know that this kind of mistreatment of customers was going on! GOOD FOR YOU!!! Mostly, I\'m glad they apologized to you. It was deserved. Pardonname...IDIOTS! (ahh, that feels better)!

It\'s ok to talk about yourself in the third person. Darla is going to bed now. I\'ll discuss this whole topic with her in the a.m. when some neurons are firing.....
