something borrowed, something blue

I am super tired after this weekend's flurry of activity due to the holidays.

I slept hard and woke myself up during the night to the sound of myself groaning.

I didn't drink any alcohol yesterday at the holiday party - but for some

reason I was excruciatingly tired after the fact, so tired that I was too tired

to stay asleep!

I went to bed at around 9pm and woke up at 8am. I took a shower

and dressed, had a morning meal and then kept Blue company on the bed

and then took a walk down the road from me.

Perhaps it's the holiday season, for sure it is, that has me circumspect.

We had a grand time last night and I felt I did well socially.

This morning, though, I find myself pushing up against a nebulous miasma

within me. A sense of emptiness or questioning for some reason.

The day after the holiday I guess can be a kind of let down.

What were all of the life issues that a holiday weekend brings up for me?

And has me expecting or not expecting how I would find myself

in life, especially after a very social ebulliant night?

Also after this last gathering at this beautiful

place, where we have traditionally had many family holidays, as it is now being sold...?

I think that's what I am thinking about. I know holidays are tough for

a lot of us. But perhaps acknowledging that with a journal, or a prayer,

or a cozy cup of tea and taking it slow and being gentle on myself...

easing my way back into the routine of my life...seems to be

how I'm handling it.

Things are ok, I hope you guys are having a good Boxing Day...

someway - somehow! xo
