some wisdom from a friend's Dad.
I have been thinking about my childhood friend's Dad and one of his rules. "If a person shows you who they are, why would you be surprised when they show it to you?" - or something like that -. I was in chapel this evening and I was dealing with my own frustrations and relationships that were bothering me, making me feel beaten down and feeling out of 'kind spirit.' I thought about my friend's Dad's wisdom and it helped me sort things out. While I know I like to love people for who they are, and care about them in a sense of essential value,, I know not everyone can or has that same sense - we're all different - but I do like caring about and loving people for their very essential grace and value. Thinking about Mr. Daly's wisdom and then my own inclination to generalize, accepting both the individual and compassion- both helped me summon a sense of peace and positive direction again after a tiring day. I'm in a good place. Sending peace and good power and sincerest gratitude.
